@@NorthernHeart Thank you Maria. Your explanation is indeed super clear. I personally do not care for artificial sweeteners. I do as you do, choose carefully and only on special occasions. The most difficult time for me is during the Christmas Holidays. Family, food, love and togetherness. Over the last several years, our family has chosen to forgo all of the gift giving replacing them with togetherness, games and the beauty and music of Christmas. JOSH REECE ohhh yes, those are the most difficult situations for me too! I totally understand that, both the situation and then being around all that yummy sweets. It can be a real challenge. For me I have found a few treats that works better with my Diabetes if I feel like I have a hard time “sticking”’to that once piece of cake. For example slices of apple in peanut butter (like a dipping sauce) can satisfies me enough to not have a piece of cake day 2 as well, also make cardamom coffee instead of regular coffee and maybe I add a bit of whipped cream on top instead of that cinnamon/cardamom bun. I also make fruit leather in my dehydrator. I take for example raspberries (fresh or frozen) and purée them and then spread out on a baking sheet and then into my dehydrator. It dries and becomes like a soft leathery type of fruit paper. I cut it into smaller pieces and roll up like “fruit candy rolls”. Raspberry is a favorite and also apple with some cinnamon in it. And then I eat the fruit leather when everybody else are eating candy. It’s kinda chewy and reminds me of candy, but less sweet and healthier for sure. I don’t know if this helps but that’s what I try and do during these situations. ❤️

HAHAHA, ja men han gör nog det. De värsta är de med frukt och choklad, vi hatar det lika mkt båda två. Det finns ngt undantag, min vän Michelle kom med en jättegod choklad med svartvinbärsgele i, låter märkligt men var supergott. Men de med jordgubb och lime i, nej det går bara inte för ngn av oss :P

@@NorthernHeart Håller med om de värsta.. jordgubb och lime är asäckliga :(. Var är alla apelsingodisar?! Lite fun fact.. när jag jobbade på Marabou på 90-talet så kunde jag gå över från min avdelning till pralinavdelningen och hämta en hel plåt med bara trillingnöt och ta med tillbaka dit där vi stod och packade chokladkakor.. så gissa vilken favorit som fick mig att gå i taket när den försvann :-)
