That IS possible, since Doopliss has a unused poison animation..the same can be said for other specific bosses Edit: Unless it uses their dizzy animation
@@NovaRedDragon All enemies use the sleeping animation when poisoned. Some bosses can be hit with a few of that status effects shown here. It is possible to confuse Magnus/2.0 and hit him with dizzy and Cortez can be frozen in all of his forms.
@@BaconNuke Miyamoto specifically saw the concept of Paper Mario 4 and said "That's too similar to the first two; you need to change it." It was a team effort, yes, but he made the executive decision to change the gameplay. Plus, he's not "a part", he's the head of it.
I always knew giant versions of the bosses would look ridiculous. I'm kind of surprised by how funny the tiny ones looked as well. It's also pretty clear that they never planned for really big enemies to get frozen, considering how bad the freeze effect looks in that case.
For some reason, the Smorg I think is the only enemy in the game that takes damage from fire attacks, but can't get burned. All other enemies can get burned or are outright invincible to it.
I don’t think that’s true. I’ve hit Cleft enemies with fire attacks like Shade Fist, and they took damage, but I’ve never burned a Cleft enemy before, and I don’t believe they’re invincible to it like Buzzy Beetles.
@@JZJ7777 That's because the punch and burn effect are separate. Using Fiery Jinx on fireproof enemies will deal 0 damage because that's all you're hitting them directly with is fire.
3:19 Aww, even though he tried to heal himself, he still got taken out by the poison. 6:35 Nicely defending against that thrown hammer. Also, was it just RNG that made the Audience Cannon never fire any Dayzees? Also, Shadow Queen Peach is immune to Shrink, but not Huge? But yeah, great video! I love these looks at the various oddities! Hope you've got more to come! (Also, is any of the gameplay in this TAS? I'm assuming not, but seeing someone Superguard so well is surprising.)
I remember the Boulders/Meteorites, but not the Bowser Statues. I almost never see them, because nobody gets their Audience Level very high. Would be nice to see some video documentation on them.

@@sagacious03’nobody?’ I guess ‘nobody’ must not include me, since I’ve reached Superstar level, which is level 30, in my first save file of the remake, and I’ve seen the Bowser statue hazard multiple times. They only appear once the player reaches the Superstar level, along with the meteor.
Try Cortez with the big status effect. Half of his body and weapons would legit be out of bounds 😂 Edit: nvm you actually did it and it’s insanely terrifying
It's interesting that moves like Hammer and Shell Toss take into account changes in the position of the boss due to statuses. I feel like in almost every applicable situation, Mini or Huge wouldn't change the target's position enough to be worth keeping track of.
I’d be keen to believe he can be frozen and affected by a multitude of status conditions, since I confused him with Head Rattle the last time I battled him.
@@jordanburkert6208 not necessarily. There definitely are a lot of things that could be improved upon. Such as every character being able to turn 3D, more uses if the pixls etc. ttyd was basically pm64 with more features, why can't spm also have a sequel?
@@deeeenisttv I was thinking story-wise rather than gameplay-wise. The story doesn’t have a good way of having a sequel that comes naturally having all the villains either dead or redeemed
@@jordanburkert6208 well yeah on that aspect I agree. But there aren't really many returning villains in the Mario franchise. You have bowser and his minions of course but they're a staple of the franchise. It's not like they would add lord Crump or tubba blubba into a new game
