Folks, hoping to improve my RU-vid. Shout out any suggestions on what I can do to improve or what topics you want to see!

Great job with the stock footage! Breaks up the shots! I think your title slides can linger a bit longer. Many times, I needed to pause to read what was even on the screen! GREAT JOB! Amazing tips too! I didn't know about the Draw it Out tip! Definitely can help out with efficiency.

@@ChristineWong Amazing thank you so much - I need to make it longer, you're right! Haha the draw it out tip was something a manager did for me in my first project and kept it on every since :)

Finally a transparent and informative channel on management consulting! For further videos, it would be great if you can do a video on the technical skills entry-level consultants learn or the pros/cons of different industries in consulting.
@KajolPhadnis

Thank you Julie! I'm adding that to the list :) But regarding industries, no pros and cons but how late you work / how you dress etc does differ based on industry!

The best way to stand out in my view is via creativity. Trust me, nothing will make you stand out more than creative solutions that are non obvious . Treat this carefully though- some team members (maybe even the boss) will have insecutities such as jealousy, envy, ego, etc .handle this carefully, usually proposing ideas and asking what about this idea or that.. or promoting for othrrs opinion, rather than telling. Thr other point I'd make is that standing out from the crowd isn't always recommended based on various factors such as culture. In some cases, standing out may be seen as a tall poppy or a nail that sticks out and needs to be hammered back in its place. Personally, I'm all for standing out and making a mark. ..just be cognisant of the culture of the team dynamics, the client, and the wider working norms and practices.

Very true. Bringing something to the table - your ideas and them being creative or outside the box is amazing :) Hopefully you're working in a team where they empower you rather than put you down!

Interesting point about making a mark but being outside the norm. I think actually initiative should be valued in a workplace and if it isn't, maybe not a right place to work.

@@KajolPhadnis Yes i agree. Most consulting teams in my experience will be welcoming of new ideas that are non obvious and different. Consulting companies usually hire those that are independent thinkers. My point is everyone has insecurities..everyone to various degrees. Its important to gauge the cultural aspects, tailoring message accordingly, mood of the room etc. It could be resented if delivered the wrong way, and in some cases you might not even know it till much later on.
