Great work John, nice to see the different ways others make & detail their's. I've had to stop taking orders on mine for this year, going to be collecting some hard wood for next years snowman crowd.

Thanks Paul. They are great fun to make and other people seem to love them. I have had no end of people ask me to make them for them. Im going to start in July next year!

The tissue that is black...I would think was because the stain wasn't dry...it didn't look dry. Perhaps a hairdryer?

Great project. I wish your music was lower in volume. I turn up the volume so I can hear what you say but then the music blairs out too loud.

Alcohol ink comes in many colors....and works very well. Drys almost instantly.

I was watching Nick from NZ and he used Black Bog Oak. Nearly a quarter of the price of Ebony on Ebay :)

Debbie Finlayson agreed that bog oak is cheaper but you use what you have. It's a good idea. I have some bog oak that would be good for next time. Think I may give it a go.

Like the snow men great job, how about putting arms on them, I use small twigs from Port Wine Magnolias or anything I can get, just a though, great job. SJS woodturning Australia
