My arms are tired! My scalp hurts! I'm tired of tryna deal with this. I spent 3 hours washing, hot oil n deep conditioner, straighten, curled, and wrapped My hair. Next morning I woke up to an afro!!!! "This shyt is killing me" 😩😩🤣
@Mrs J I roller set my hair on Monday night 4 hours out of my life with the whole process...yaaaayyyy🙂🤗 😵💫😵💫 Checked my hair Tuesday morning b4 I went to the gym. I was still good!🤗🤗 I kept it tied up in the gym, came home feeling good, took the scarf off and screamed!!! 😱😱😱 My whole head was curly except the ends😭😭😭😭🤣 Wth!! At this point I'm definitely converting over to a relaxer...2.5 years Natural.... Hard work, time and hours!! Man....my arms are tired of being tired👀😫😩🤦♀️
Definitely feel your pain. For me, it's my crown that won't behave. I have 5 (yes FIVE) different textures in my hair and I've never been able to blend them in the 12 years I've been natural. My braid/twist outs look awful. Every part of my hair will stay defined, then the crown will turn into a fully shrunken fro. Love my hair but I'm tired 😫
I hate when people say things like: "Oh, YoU sHoUlD lEaRn To LoVe YoUr HaIr" to us re/texlaxed folk. Because if we didn't, then why would we even give af to make certain accommodations for our hair and for our time overall and not just shave it all off lol.
I'm natural and have been told that when I mention I want to straighten or texlax... like bruh this is MY hair stop with that fake positivity to make me feel and yourself feel better
I think people need to worry about the hair on their own Halas. To have relax or texlaxed hair you have to do it and take care of it too everyone I know with relax hair do love their hair, which is why they stretch their relaxers so it won’t go thin.… people are literally miserable and have to take their frustrations out on others
OMG YES Im virgin headed with like half 4a half type 3. The middle is the 4a. The front sides and back are all perfectly natural type 3 curls. However I need to texlax the crown to get it to the rest of my head texture, I guess. Glad I came to this video because I was googling if I can intentionally under or partly relax my hair thinking I made it up since my all natural mom looked at me crazy. I saw you say TEXLAX and I looked it up and thats exactly what I wanna do so now Im happy to know its a thing.
@@sincerelysandi Hey Love it was still curly in some areas loose curls much more manageable than before I wore it straight for about 2weeks now she back in a curly bun😆
I’ve been natural since birth🥺 Never cut or died my hair so I’m making 25 and I’m but to relax it on Monday. I’m tired of crying over my hair. And I need something different 😭 But I’m also scared as hell😂
Thanks for uploading this vid. I too, have wore my hair natural for a LONG TIME. And like you I have a lot of hair, so I purchased 3 KITS.Thanks again.
It’s been 10 years for me and I’m ready to relax it again now. My curls are beautiful but my shrinkage is crazy, and I have a huge head. Lol. Plus I usually have to wear my hair wet but I have excema on my scalp so that doesn’t mix well. So my hair is just always in nappy ponytail and just dry and not done. I honestly don’t take good care of it in this state. I’m ready to relax it.
My natural hair is defeating me. I’m in my feelings today. I’m so confuse on what to do with my hair. I don’t want to wear wigs or braids and I don’t want to loc my hair. I think I’m having a midlife crisis
@@islandpersuasion4690 I’m going to hold off on that for now. I’ve been doing a lot of research on my hair type/hair science and I believe it’s starting to pay off. 🤞🏾 In couple months I’ll see if it really pays off. 🙏🏾
Thanks for sharing, I just relaxedmy hair after being relaxed for 5 yrs. Nonethe less I don't regret it, I love uploading my journey to see the growth. keep it up love I had to sub. thank you.
Girl I have been thinking about locking my hair, a short cut, relaxing my hair or something. ANYTHING to feel different rn but I'm trying to think if I do it will I have any issues while stretching my relaxers. I've been natural for 6 years and every 2 years I cut all my hair off. Last time I cut it was last August so it's been a year and I'm ready for a change. I'm trying to figure out what i can do with my hair if I relax it. I just want to style my hair and it last until I decide it's time for something new.
Girl while stretching ur relaxers, remember u have braids, wigs ,locs etc just be sure to wear the styles properly so it doesn't damage or weakens your relaxed hair. Go for it
The results look good I can feel the relief of more manageability through the screen Lml, I only made it to a little under 3 years, I just texlaxed it so its not fully straight so it still looks like a blow out and thick still, i'm glad I did lord knows I could not dedicate hours to half the day with this 4c hair anymore especially since my hair is getting longer and gets dirty faster so I have to wash it more often, i'm losing less hair now and wash and detangle is only and hour then 30 min to style outside the shower since I can now vs before 3 or 4 hours with styling in shower, I kept my hair in big twists or braids all that time so my hair could retain length better
Amazing job u did perfect for the frist time that relaxer made your super bone straight I love it ♥️i relaxed my natural hair 8 months ago it turn'd my hair like brownish redish color.
I’ve been natural 15 years yall. I’m scared to perm it but I don’t even want to deal with taking the time to straighten it just to wake up with the Florida Evans 😩
Im relaxed but my hair hasn't thrive relaxed but when i was texlaxed bk then it was healthy and thick. I might jus go natural stay . I dnt want cancer or thinning hair later in life ... i do believe relaxers do damage internal but I do go to a professional to relax my hair my hair hasn't really grew to its best ability. Your hair l hope you enjoy the journey always go to professional and try training your hair as natural straight next time silk press ... everyone can't do curly stuff ... l love natural staight thats what l will be doing ...
I gotta do mines better in December I’m doing it again I gotta add it to my ends n leave it longer cuz mines turn to curls then a fro. It’s okay I spent hours washing it out I did better last time from washing in the sink took my hair out. I did in shower this time.
the result is amazing, it looks amazing on you. however i have a question, do u necessarily need to wash your hair 1 week before relaxing it? i’m tired of taking care of it and i’m currently wearing wigs so i don’t need to maintain it. i just want to take those braids off and relax it and be like fck that 😩 helpp
@@asiarobinson2194 I just recently had twins they are 6 months and I've natural for about 10 years now and its time for a change but since I've had them my hair line is soo bad on one side now 😩 and I'm scared it's going to make it so much more noticeable 😭
We must always do what works for us at the end of the day 😍😍If you’d like to switch up your look & give your hair a breather our AMARACHI tape in extensions would blend in so well with your texture with unlimited volume and style possibilities 🎉
Yup know that now lol. As I said in the video I didn’t do any research and I’m not that picky with my hair so I didn’t really care while doing it. But thank you!
I have relaxed hair I'm currently growing it out because long story short my hair got damaged because it was scared for properly. Also my relaxed hair would've be long if I my I didn't cut my hair accidentally with braids and if I didn't flat iron my hair cause that caused it to be damaged even more. Wish me luck y'all❤
Girlll its only been 3years for me and idk if it a midlife crisis but sis the crack is calling me & now this video popped up if this isn’t god then idk 😭😭
So I decided long ago I will be doing a lot experimenting with my hair. All im doing is waiting until after my wedding which I really don't have to do considering I'll be wearing a wig but that's what my fiancé wants. I currently have it in a split dye and I will be bleaching and touching it up for my bday next month. It will be following a lot of bleaching after that until I chop it again and when grows back I will be relaxing it.
At the end of the day it’s your hair sis--do as you please. I’m 4 years natural and don’t plan to use chemicals ever again in hair. My natural hair is chest length, when I don’t feel like touching my hair I just band it up and put on a hijab.
The only issue with relaxers is that some people were doing them wrong they were leaving them in too long relaxes are actually good for the hair because they open up the hair follicle to bring in moisture because your hair is now more moisturized than it was in the first video. I'm not saying your natural hair wasn't healthy I'm just saying moisturized hair hair that is easier to get product through promotes growth faster. But again that's one of the relaxer is done correctly and it looks like you did your relaxer correctly because your hair is shiny It looks like it's well moisturized and nourished and that's what the bottom line of a professional relaxer will do If you do the relaxing wrong then that's when you get over processing breakage scalp irritation things of that nature but it looks like you did this right
I can’t wait to see videos, where our health is as important, as our “hair”.. Black women in America are classified as 80% obese… Covid-19 showed us, clearly there is an issue within our community.
She’s not American, doesn’t live in America… you have deep-rooted issues. America isn’t the epicenter of the world and VAST MAJORITY black women don’t live there and aren’t obese. Instead of maybe volunteering somewhere and being useful since you feel the need to “help”, you decide to be slick, judgmental, and arrogant.
Its crazy because a lot of us gotta remember why we went natural in the first place Natural hair is a lot but for some it works for some it don’t I did notice a lot of woman going back natural everything fine than bomb back to breaking off shedding etc. now there going back natural again always do your research perm hair has to be treated with care just like natural hair I’m just tired of hair period 😵💫🥹
