ah the office really helped cheer me up all those years ago,I was really depressed and so unhappy at the time. it was a shining light during a sad time. now im in a bad place again and bent is back to bring some more sunshine. Thanks ricky, you have brought some real happyness to so many thought are David.
One time I was depressed and I sent a message into Steve's radio show. He said to me "you must not give up". He said it with such strength and positivity that I thought yes, I must not give up. I must brush myself off, pick myself up and go onwards. I always loved Steve's positive attitude.
It's the wonderful Steve Allen, usually on LBC 97.3 from 4 in the morning, live, Monday to Friday, The only LBC presenter who provides light relief without any phone-ins.
This is 2020 and this interview was magically recommended to me. If you haven't seen this David Brent movie--do!!! I have loved most of Ricky's stand up comedy and , of course, The Office! I prefer the Brit version, although I also enjoyed the American--but the American version just didn't have Ricky Gervais!!!
Trolling isn't bullying. It's a fun tease. Anyone that pushes it to racism or hate speech or any form of bullying is not trolling. Trolling is closer to a fun prank than it is to bullying.
be great to have a serires where david fines some success in busking on the streets. Would be a great back drop for so many strange people to come and go meeting david brent as hes hanging round the streets.
I think Ricky should try to be the voice of an anti reality show campaign, he explains it so well , maybe people who watch them would finally realise what's happening to the world and we could all stand together and boycott the whole industry
No, trolling is SELF-LOVE not self-hatred, "I'm JUST as important as you and have every right to bring you down you jumped-up arrogant successful people!".
LOL yeah exactly what I was going to say - surely it's a GOOD and HONEST thing if he answers the same way for the exact same question in every interview? That just shows consistency and honesty. I'd only be annoyed or worried if he was saying two completely different things for the exact same question. There's nothing false here. I think he been very sincere in all his interviews :-)
just goes to show that there is no such thing as bad publicity, given that the horrendous Steve Allen has previously slagged off Gervais on his crap radio show. but hey, exposure is exposure is exposure to these egomaniacs.
Ha! Doesn't surprise me. Steve Allen for me is the only person on LBC that I can't stand. His show is nothing but insulting celebrities and mainly for their looks. Then when he does these interviews he kisses their arses.
Could he and Pauline (Jo Hartley) become a double act? Peter Andre and the boys could do the warm up for their first O2 gig....................I'm starting an online petition!
I'm sure you've worked hard, definitely sure. Please don't get political though, your just an actor and your opinion is practically useless. Still love most you do xx
No, I think it was a dig at Katie Hopkins...which is especially clever of Ricky cos as well as getting her own newspaper column she also has an LBC show!
The real humour in David Brent: Life on the Road is that the music industry has become a fantasy now. All bands have the same delusion, successful or not. Adele won, go home. ha
Gets asked an honest question > gives an honest answer. What's wrong with that? Of course he's going give the same answer for every interview... if they ask the same questions. If his answer was different each time for the same question then I'd be worried. I don't think he's being false just honest :-)
AMCT 101 No, sorry. Ricky brings up the same stories every chance he gets. Pissing in the sink? There's countless examples of him being a parrot. I'm a fan btw....just in case you tell me to "stop watching"
