Dom Deluise- one of the most beloved comic actors of his day. Loved him. All of his sons are actors too. Ron Silver- character actor whose name I used to hear all of the time in the '80's and early 90's. He was a respected actor most famous for playing the bad guy. David Carradine- haven't heard him mentioned yet. I'm glad a new generation got to know him in Kill Bill, but he'll always be Qui Chin Kane(spelling) from "Kung Fu".
Henry gibson R.I.P The first time i watched the memoriam i thought that name and face looked familiar, you were a great actor and you will be dearly missed. That goes for everyone on the memoriam R.I.P
Michael Crichton- "Jurassic Park" author. The film was the highest grossing film of all time before Titanic. Ricardo Montalban- one of, if not the, first Latin superstar in America. Most famous for "Fantasy Island". Don Hewitt- he WAS CBS. He created and produced 60 minutes, which changed the course of television history, of course. This was just something for those who only know Paul Newman, MJ, Farrah, Kronkite, McMahon, and Swayze to know just how huge this list really is.
you know i didnt even think about either kim manners or john hughes.....thats a good question. i am really pleased they did include henry gibson, im a big fan of his(and of kim manners actually..xfiles geek here) and was a little afraid it would be too late for them to add him. im hoping someone will run something in a magazine on his life, he was a comic genius.
Did they not learn anything with the Oscar show this year... that moment should be about the people who had passed on... not some sappy singer who's still young and very much alive!!!!
