Fries are trash, burgers are solid and much less expensive than most other fast food places. I can feed my family of 4 at In N Out for less than $35, can't even do that at McDonald's these days and the burgers are definitely better than the clown's
I agree with all of this, we use to go to one in Houston and I could feed my family some good food for a good price and I could be a fat ass and get myself a double cheeseburger without hurting my wallet too much

Californians def have different taste buds, because In and Out is NASTY! My brother use to work there for years, so we would get free burgers. lol It never tasted good, but it was free, so we ate them. The fries were plain, no seasoning or anything, and the burgers had ZERO flavor. Yet that is one of the top burgers in California? Yeah... y'all have no real taste.
You are so spot on... back in 2013 when I first landed in LAX my now husband took me to an In and Out... 2 hours later my body was like "you need to leave now!" lol Thank you for the honest review...
One word: cheap. Pretty good burger for the price and it doesn't has a chance to give you colon cancer. The way the economy is these days, that's apparently a win.
@@JamesTheTurnbull i mean you're not wrong, i do think it's overrated as fuck, i do agree the prices are pretty good, most chains have their burgers over 7 to 9 bucks, while in n out is 3.50 to 4.00 dollars, so not bad, but i do prefer a burger that is quality rather then low quality, but it's just me
It's basic, yes. When I got through the line for the first time I realized the hype. It is NOT the food, it is the prices. Where else can you get those prices today? Not McDonalds, not that beautiful fast food oasis known as Culver's, not anywhere. It's affordable, edible, and you don't have to cook it or clean the kitchen after, that's all.

Because everything is fresh never frozen and you can customize and add extra things without any extra cost. Y'all haters obviously like nasty fake food that is frozen or sits out for awhile. I'll take In N Out over any of these places you listed!

Hating on certain things honestly is just a trend. A lot of people just follow trends. Not saying he is. But everyone has their own palette and opinion. I had in n out for the 1st time after hearing it was all hype. Personally i like it. Have i had better burgers?? Absolutely. But its definitely no where near as bad as people make it out to be. When i just want a fast food cheese burger at a decent price i prefer in n out. I actually love their fries bc they just different than any other fries. It may be Overrated but its also underrated bc so many people hate on it just because lol

I feel cali has been gaslighting us with in n out so we dont find out how amazing del taco is. They never hype up del taco and that place is amazing. Unlike in n out they have a full menu
I never had in an out, visually it looks like a glorified wendys. The king is five guys. Yah their prices are outrageous, but i feel like what you get mixed in with the quality justifies the price. However, you can get an applebees burger and fries for cheaper.
see that's a huge problem imo, cause unlike in Cali obviously, people cook themselves some Burgers often, so what In & Out is selling isnt good enough for the rest of us, cause we can get that shit at home, son!
and i'm not knocking you for liking it per se, but at the same time, if In & Out were to be gone tomorrow, you'd have NO PROBLEM recreating the food at home. unlike say KFC and their 11 Herbs n Spices + their unique pressure frying method.@@mrsmith54
I can’t afford a whole lot of fast food but every now and then I’ll get in and out not for the taste but the price. I respect that I can get two meals maybe a little more for the same price as a five guys meal or even a trip to McDonald’s. At this point if it looks good and taste decent for a good price that’s all I can ask for
I wish people would stop expecting a Michelin 6-Star gourmet experience from a $4 burger. It tastes decent and its cheap. NOBODY in LA is hyping it beyond that.

Different strokes and all that but I've found that people who regularly eat fast food do not enjoy In N Out. I'm on Mediterranean diet and the rare rare occasion I actually get In N Out it tastes like crack, even the french fries are bomb.
I’m born and raised in Cali and In and out WAS top tier UNTIL they started branching out. Now it officially 🗑️! They gave me a whole head of lettuce (not chopped) on my burger with the thinnest meat I’ve ever had the last time I was there. The quality is not the same. The habit is by far better!

I implore you when you go there to have your burger as follows: Double Double, no spread, no tomatoes. Add grilled onion, ketchup and mustard. Thank me later. BTW I am a HUGE fan of your voiceovers.

I've seen every food reviewer on earth filming in Cali this week and filming at In-N-Out covering the Flying Dutchman....ether they all got free trips to cali or they all follow the same freaking trends. In any case it lacks originality.
For some of us it's the taste of our childhood and wilder teen years. Back in the 1970s burgers weren't as refined as they are now, yeah, it's a bit mid, but it tastes like cruising in a 1969 Mercury Cougar to me.
Look man idk whos telling you in and out is gonna change your life, but all their food is, is a solid burger for the price. Better than any other fast food burger espcially wendys and burger king. Can you find better burgers in california at restaurants? Sure you can but if I am looking for a good burger at a great price I am taking in and out. In all honesty In N out is severely over hyped and very low mids..at best and even fresh. The burgers are..Ok thats it..the fries are soggy and stale at the same time and the flying Dutchman we just originally 2 patties with a slice of cheese between them...none of this onions as buns..soo definitely a tiktok/viral trend

In N Out is simply mediocre. There are other burger chains that are far superior, and I just can’t understand why In N Out gets so much attention. My only guess is that, a long time ago, it was way better than it is today and its continued popularity banks on nostalgia and desperation.

Yes we all hated it the East Coast 5 guys are much much better.. my son almost vomited at the table. It was so bad. The patty was nasty and the fries were terrible. It is all hype.
