LL smooth as hell with that nod in the beginning. also Alfonse and that wink, and maia with the jacket pull. kim gorgeous too. a real sexy classy intro with a dope beat.
One of the most underrated sitcoms black or other wise ever! I always think I'm the only one who knows its existence LOL but yeah when Alfonso and Kim joined the cast that's when it got really good.
Too bad that was when the ratings also dropped after the fourth season. The fifth and final season only had a handful of episodes that seemed to have been burned off from season 4 and didn't even air on UPN but instead in syndication. 😔
I remember being a kid and I was in love with the theme song. I would remember this show would come on around 10pm and my mom was rushing me and my sisters off to bed and I would at least wanna hear the theme song before bed. I would be content once I heard it 😂
I thought she was rather average overall TBH but I thought that they did a REALLY GOOD job of glamming her up for the theme song.. I mean because ca'mon it's your own freakin theme song! you have to look good for your theme song for your own show right??! LMAO 😂.. it was like "90210" from back in the day and they ALWAYS try to glam up Tori Spelling and her BIG BIODOME forehead and make her look to whatever degree pretty decent looking for the theme song SHE TRIES TO GIVE THAT EROTIC LOOK😝 but in the show her forehead featured the way ( to not my surprise 😂) and she looked just average to slightly above-average 😝😛😋 # Miss the 90s... But nah overall Kim Wayans did her thing in this theme song even on the show and it was good to see our breakthrough around this time.. I wish the show could have lasted longer. 🤙
This was one of my favorite shows and theme songs since the 90's when I was 8 years old. Whenever this show opens I would jam to this song, and repeat the same words to this.
I really do miss the 90s man that's when black TV shows were poppin this theme song, Living Single and New York Undercover cover theme songs were my favorites and this intro for in the house could have been a cool song in real life LOL
This was my favourite "In The House" opening sequence. I like the UPN version of "In The House" the best. The NBC version was nice but this was the better one.
@@Otto8845 It premiered on NBC in the Spring of 1995 as a mid season, NBC cancelled it after two Seasons at the end of the 1995-1996 Season then UPN picked it up for the 1996-1997 season and aired it for two more seasons. The 5th and Final Season aired in first run syndication in August 1999 when In The House began its run on off network syndication in the Fall 1999 Season.
I still love this show , I still watch it , it brings back so many child memories ,and maia campbell was so beautiful her beauty was mind blowing prayers for her to bounce back in life because the drugs ruined her life
Anybody know what was up with the major cast overhaul. From season 1 to 2. A1 a lady with 2 kids rents a house with a grown man still living in it. She moves out with her son leaving her teen daughter. S2: alphonso reibero n kim wayans are threw in. Maia n LL remained till the end. It was a good show tho. Maia campbell n reagan gomez from parenthood stole my heart back then... Kim WAYANS used to scare me but certain episodes she was looking right..
Debbie Allen & Quincy Jones had creative differences, so she left the show after season 2. The show then wanted to attract a young adult crowd, which meant cutting off Austin.
Most likely, it is because when In the House was on NBC, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was still going, but was winding down. Alfonso actually made a crossover appearance as his Carlton character in the final NBC season, and also aired during Fresh Prince's final season. After ITH was canceled by NBC, UPN picked up the show, starting with its 3rd season and Alfonso joined the cast after Fresh Prince ended as a different character.
I don’t remember any thing about this show as a kid didn’t know the name of the show I only remember hearing the theme song that’s it , often came on while I was getting ready for bed lol
When they say we didnt have black shows growing up: Sorry google you cant change my childhood. Old and new we watched black tv in my household just as much as all the other shows. Only difference is our black shows just "went off the air" they never gave us proper closure or "finale" episodes. But its ok.
NGL, back when I watched this show during its original run, and Alfonso suavely winked at the camera, I felt like I was looking at the actor and not Carlton. From there on, I thought he was no longer going to be typecast as Will Smith’s square cousin. Guess I spoke too soon.
Debbie Alen decided to leave after Season 2, so since she left they decided to remove the boy and from Season 3 onwards they retooled the show to make it more mature.
Otto Grimsley WELL WAVE YA HANDS IN THE AIRRRR AND LIKE YOU DONT CARRRRRE AND IF YOUR A SQUARE FROM DELAWARE AND YOU GOT ON CLEAN UNDERWEAR SOMEBODY SAY OH YEAAAAAA!!!!
Otto Grimsley Spread it around to your friends please. Please Get some 80s 90s hip hop flowing through your generation. Dont let it die or we'll all be wearing pants tighter than our own girlfriends in 2025 lol
She and the little boy left and they retooled the show by adding Kim Wayans and Alfonso Riberio and having Tiffany be under Marion's guardianship. The show became more of a work place sitcom dealing with the sports clinic, Max, Marion and Tonia ran then a family show but It was a much better show this way
+barber747 UPN 9 (New York) used to air "In the House" weeknights 7pm in the 1999-2000 season, then got replaced with The Jamie Foxx Show, which I liked, then "In the House" moved to 11pm from 2000-2002, later to be replaced by The Hughleys. Did UPN 50 also air reruns of "The Drew Carey Show"? UPN 9 aired Drew Carey weeknights at 11:30pm from 1999-2008. What about your area, what channel aired reruns of "Drew Carey? Was it WPWR 50? For my area, it was UPN 9, WWOR, New York City area. :)
@@tlcjanetfan I’m certain it was QD3, Quincy Jones’ son. It has his sound, also, his dad produced this show as well Fresh Prince, the theme he also composed.
