First I thought: "Hmm that box does not look that great"but then I started looking at the video and i find it a great learning experience and a perfect object to show every step by step in a good flow. Well done!

The inlay plug killed me! It was like watching a toothpick being made from a tree!

Hello BeaulieuTodd... sorry about that... may have been a bit of overkill. If it helps that maple was destioned for the woodpile if I did not use it. So now that a piece (all be it small) is now part of a beautiful item that has traveled the world... and keeps my Fathers memory alive every time I look at it... makes it a very inspiring toothpick... ;)

Great use of features! Every time I do a new inlay I create a sketch with the diagram, it has helped keep me out of trouble.

Hey Alan... thanks for the comment... and yes found the diagram helped a lot. I did a couple of test cuts before I started this project and had a hard time getting my head wrapped around the inlay part. After chatting with Rebecca (Beki) I sat down and sorted out my process and the drawing just evolved. I then figured it would be helpful to everyone so we included it as the "VCarve Inlay Cheat Sheet" I'm not the first to use that style of drawing to help... this thread on the forum has the same sort of drawing - forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=29980 I didn't see it till after... FixitMike was thinking the same as me. Thanks again!!!

Todd, thank you. I’m just getting started with CNC and being a pilot I’m all about the airplanes. I’d love to know more about the one hanging on the wall behind you.

Hey Joe, Thank you for your kind comments :) Are you talking about the sign hanging on the left hand side at the start of the video? If so that was gifted to us by James Booth when Vectric won a Queens Award for Enterprise for International Trade 2017, you can see more about it here: ceorfan.works/commissions#/queens-award-sign/ I hope this helps :)

@@joebarth8497 Hi Joe, the Mustang P51 relief model you can see in the dish is a model that comes free with Aspire Clipart, and it's been assembled with clouds from and mountains from the Western Scenes Collection from Design and Make. I hope this helps :)

Nice video, good tutorial at the beginning. But the practical part, i dont want to see at the ending only how you change toolbits, thats the boring part. Show us how you mill it. With a not so loud sound of the router in the background. 😊👌

Hello CNCPrint... thanks for the comment and we will take that all on board. I hope you can see/hear from our latest videos that we have been working hard on the content we have in our videos and the sound quality. Thanks again.
