Not seen the movie but if the solar radiation is that high then It would damage/destroy the satellites or radiation would also interfere with the signals. The fax machine is a landline based therefore more reliable with the intense electromagnetic radiation. I would like to see this movie and look out for mobile phones or if they only use landline phones.

Thanks so much for uploading this summary! I caught the last 20-25 minutes of the film while it was playing on the hotel TV and I got drawn into the story, but had no context seeing I missed the first part, and I didn't know the title either so I couldn't look it up. This has really made my day!

@randomguy9777 Let say you come along a puppy laying there whining looking thin and hurt. Look at ALL the choices you can make. You can feed the puppy. You can ignore the puppy. You can take the puppy home. You can kick the puppy. Your gray lump at that moment gets to choose what you want to do out a HUGE array of choices. It will look over all the past experiences you have had in life, all you have learned, how you feel that day, what makes you sad, what makes you happy .. and then it will choose. It might even be so stubborn to decide to kick the puppy, under the guise of their is no free will and you had no choice you had to do it and hence you should suffer no guilt as it was all preordained to happen that way.

Due to the damage you no longer remember the good times you had with a dog only that time a dog bit you, and you choose to react negatively. But even in that case you might instead choose to run, choose to scream, choose to climb a tree in fear. At it's most basic level even physics show there is no certainty in the universe and nothing is predetermined. An electron cloud is the zone of probability where an electron will be due to the uncertainty principle. If the very nature of the universe is chance and probability, to claim that gray matter will pre-determine some outcome is a fools errand at best

@@chrysos That's true... in programming, the IDE is an environment in which the program executes, and one of it's main purposes is to catch errors and suggest solutions to the human. intellisense isn't perfect, and in a lot of higher level programs, the intellesense often suggests bizzare solutions... this is less AI and more of a limitation of the structure created by the developer or group of developers (think if a computer suggest that you use a hammer to nail a board down, but it doesn't know that the person you sent to the store only purchased screws). In the screws analogy, intellesense can and does adjust dynamically to simple scenarios like that, and it will suggest screws based on existing references.

“Wiped out by solar flares” “Robots” This movie clearly doesn’t understand solar flares. If solar flares were to be so severe it wipes out humanity, there’s not a single electronic device that would survive it, the first things to go due to a solar flare would be anything electronic and we’d have no Internet as well as signals would suffer(we’d struggle to communicate). We’d essentially revert back to much simpler times with no technology

yea alot of shows or movies never think about that. there is a show called into the night, passangers on a flight need to outrace the sun to stay alive because the radiation cooks your internals and food. Electronics and everything else still work though.

If this is a possible future, I just wish we live in peace with AI and Sentient Robots. They can enhance our evolution. This movie really helps to reflect on ourselves as humans. This movie irritated me because at the end he drives home with his wife and child like the guy that was trying to take them out is gone, wtf where are you going to go, when the guy that runs everything realizes you still alive he's going to send more guys after you, heck the dr got took out by children like wtf and if the old guy had the super chip how would getting the other chips help understand the protocol made by the chip he has, Wich nobody did get because they fell off the cliff in the guy's jacket pockets after collecting all but the one in the female robot, this movie was like one big Fuk you to any questions left behind. 🤨 Then if the first robot that was created got away somehow or was that just a random one that just never was recovered or wtf they not putting gps on them how tf did the first one get away to start modding others
