Wow that really sucks for 18-20 year olds. I bought so many guns when I was 19, 20, I would have gone crazy if I had a delay every single time. That is a gross infringement of rights, just like all these stupid fucking laws. Safer Communities Act... Lol, the people who write these laws name them; they're advertisements. Side note a stripped receiver doesn’t fit the qualification of a firearm per the aft. I know this cuz they accused me of manufacturing without a license because I assembled some striped lowers and later sold them to an ffl when I no longer wished to own them.

I see it as crimes or illegal acts. Not wearing a seat belt or speeding or owning a gun the state says you can't are examples of illegal acts. A crime would be carjacking or beating someone up or shooting someone. Illegal acts should be something the government keeps their nose out of.
This is what happens when people think the government is in charge of our lives as subjects, rather than the original intent of protecting our rights as citizens.
Thanks for the info. I assume the online version will be updated prior to Feb 1. The FFL I usually use does theirs online. I’m not planning on any purchases in the near future but you never know. There’s still a couple I would like at the right price lol.
No, some of us dealers use electronic 4473s. The ATF does not have access to them until they do an on site audit. Even then it's only during thr time of audit
@@ddcustomsllc8532 If ATF is forbidden by Law to deposit information from background check forms, this can be delegated to a different federal agency, which is not forbidden to collect online data.

So if my wife uses my ammunition to shoot my gun does that mean I would be in trouble on this form since she is an immigrant? It's odd that they added ammunition in there.
If your wife is a legal resident of the US, she is not prohibited. Is she a nonresident alien that lacks an exception do to an issue with her permission to imigrate? Usually a nonresident alien that has a criminal history in thier "home" country fails to get an exception.

Weird for denial they contact local police, local police don’t enforce federal. law they enforce state law probably goes to sone ATF field office that’s who ultimately enforce these things.
@@jamesharrison2374 And no one shouldn't have to fill out a form and I don't care who you are everyone has a right to a gun and self defense. Mostly everyone who has filled out one of those forms has lied on it 1 way or another. acting like there's a lot of people who don't smoke or drink.
@@tgs9740 I am with you on every one should have a firearm, on my sarcastic side with the $800billion the US spends on the military they should just give every adult a full auto rifle. Spent lots of time in Switzerland, and drove from shooting match to shooting match with a full auto, though on the match we only shot semi auto. As far as Federal paperwork, I put in 10 years DoD in Europe, and have seen people that lied on the paper work get walled out in handcuffs headed to Fort Leavenworth. The paper warns you lie and sign, you can do the time.
@@tgs9740 Have you filled out a 4473? Was there a question about smoking (tobacco) or drinking on your form? Here’s the exact question: “Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?”. I believe that would not include alcohol or tobacco, but it would include crack cocaine.

Not sure on the reasons, do know where I use to live a dishonorable discharged Marine for medical reasons, killed and chopped up his grandmother and financial support person with a chain saw and burnt the house down. Guessing he is still in prison in NC somewhere.
