This is exactly the video I was looking for! My TV has become so slow and I keep getting a pop up spot in out of storage space. Just purchased a usb for it.
I know this is a 2 year video now but so is my TV and of course I lost the manual and never knew I could do this. I just wanted to say, thank you so much for making this video.
I bought an PNY USB and Then a Sandisk USB and it’s not formatting. I tried doing it through the Hisense format download as well and it still isn’t accepting or seeing it. It sees it and then it says it’s been removed when it hasn’t.
I have a 16gb drive installed. It's formatted, developer mode enabled, force app transfer selected, but when I try to transfer apps, it tells me not enough storage...?
It’s not putting the apps on the usb it’s just putting the data on there I plugged a usb in on my tv too and new apps don’t go to it. I need to figure out how to use the usb drive as an internal storage device.
You have to physically have to go to each app... thru system settings and move them... so....... settings..... device settings..... storage...... usb.......apps......all apps... choose app...... then finally storage used, and you can switch it to usb... that is the only way it will move or install the apps to my USB device.... maybe my usb or tv is faulty... but those are the steps I take
@@jeremygoyette7426 thank you! I’ve been searching and going through every setting I could think of to find this, and this explanation was the only thing that worked for me too. For anyone else who ends up doing this- some apps won’t let you switch them to external storage, but some will. And with only a couple MB of internal storage, anything that can be stored externally helps.
Anyone ever mention anything about formatting the usb on a computer first? Mine shows space free I can't click on storage used. I format as device storage it uses all the space. It's a 64gb stick, so how is this guy using a 32gb. I opted to manually move the stuff later as well. No luck
Since I've added a memory stick my TV has become glitchy. It can't always access apps and I am often uninstalling and reinstalling them. Sometimes it it difficult to turn the tv on as well and I usually end up unplugging it and plugging it back in. If I take the memory stick out then the tv functions like normal again but of course there isn't enough memory for my apps. Is there a certain type of memory stick I need to use?
I tried doing this but after formatting on my tv it says the usb is corrupt and wont move anything over. Ive tried 2 different usb sticks that have now been wasted
I can't even get to the menus or Home Screen or anything. My H9G just keeps glitching and going black to the menu, black then says memory is full and keeps glitching out. I can't open or access anything, tried so many different things. I think my TV is bricked?
Did you install the usb on the tv? if you can't manage it,delete some apps and try installing the usb and formating on the tv,not PC and then install apps and go the apps and try moven every signle app you doenloaded to external storage. Keep in mind some apps won't allow you to do that but some will.
@@prendedaj22 I didn't have my TV stored to a USB because I didn't use apps much or anything like that. Also didn't even know much about stuff like that. Used it mostly for gaming and as a PC monitor. Tried deleting apps for months when I first started getting the notifications about storage space, but they would never delete. They just stayed on the storage. Some forums I've sen have said I got a batch with faulty storage drives? My TV won't even turn on now.
@@nallumnosaj Take a look on the back of the tv(where the areal plug,hdmi is located,there might be a reset button( it should reset to factory,so everythingwill be erased,if your tv has it and you can find it try pressing it for 15 seconds and release and see what happens. Try it with tv on and off.
