Wow.. am so pleased for this youngster, just turned 20 and already he is fearless towards reaching his goals. Alot more to come . He runs smarter and has good vision of the race .
I'm so happy to see this young man succeed. Jakob has been putting in the work, and it's paying off. He will be a future world record holder, and perhaps the first person to run under 12:30.
It really annoys me how they cut away from the race for whole minutes at a time. I completely missed Jakob making his move from the chase pack to the leaders. Does anyone know if there is a video out there showing the parts of the race that they cut out?
It’s pretty clear now Yakob is slowly demonstrating his dominance in the 1500, 3000, and 5000. The old timers can no longer hang with him and at age 20 he will dominate fir a long time.
thie incredible thing here for me to see,, is that jakob didnt come upp to leading group because of a slowdown in the front,, since he run 59 in one of those laps,, he came back while the pace were high,,, but cheptegei slowed down just after he came upp,, i belive jakob who soloed his way upp there could have run atleast 5 secounds faster,,, if not even faster than that if he got a steady pace and didnt try to go for the win here.
you definitely didnt see cheptegei runnign 55 sec final lap before... diamond league, world championships 10k 2017, 2019... watch more before making statements, and look at his kick at the 10k and 5k olympics last year.
