Thank you for sharing your propagation of begonias especially African violets. I learned so much from your vlogs and looking forward to see more of your videos. God bless you and your family.
I love your videos! Your plants are gorgeous and you're so informative and practical. I have an African violet baby thanks to your advice. I think I'm ready for begonias! Thank you!
Hi Emaan, thank you so much for an oustanding in deoth video with the results.. I'm a beginner and just got some new rex begonias that leaves got damaged when shipped. I will now try your method with the soil, vermiculite & perlite which I have at home. I've learnt so much and can't wait to watch the rest of your videos. Thank you so much and please keep on making these videos.❤
I once got three beautiful Rex begonias on sale because they were dying. I only have one left and it was also dying lately (after three years) and thanks to you I am able to save some of it for new plants. The other two were different colours and were so beautiful. Maybe I will find some on sale again and will know how to rescue them better this time.❤️🙏Thank you ❤️
This below link will be of great help regarding begoanis ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GrACXOoBcSQ.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5fr3GA26J4A.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h_2cEATvnP8.html
Very fun ideas. I just received a Rex in the mail today (Red Robin) sadly it's too young to steal a leaf from, so I'll just do some of my two cane species I've had for years or ... haunt the stores for a pinch : ) I grow plants from the deserts of Mex., Africa to the jungles of S. Am., China, Au. etc. vining caudex. Af. caudiciforms, tuberous ... but just the two Beg. now three. Thanks
I fertilize them every time when I fertilize my orchids. It means every 2 weeks. I give them left over fertilizer from my orchids. But sometimes I fertilize my begonias with my African violets. AV fertilizer they love more. I used to propagate geraniums when I was elementary school student. It was long time ago. It was very easy. You just take a cutting and insert in a soil and they root. They root easily when you grow them outside . In the house they get mold or sometimes rot. You are welcome. And thank you too for watching and commenting.
Emanuel, are you propagating under a grow light? I would like to learn to propagate, my Rex Begonia keeps loosing leaves, so I don’t want to loose it. Thank you, excellent video.
In summer you don’t need growing light to propagate. You put in a bright place ( windowsill) or outside. If you begonia started loosing its leaves you need to propagate it immediately. You are always welcome
Fantastic video - I just came across it. One question: Where do you place the begonia cuttings when they are rooting in earth/perlite? Can they be near a window or are they better in a darker area?
My begonia has sprouted roots and tiny babies, but should I leave them in water forever,,, or should I put them in soil, if yes then how do I plant them in a pot
When you put them inside the container, do we needs to open them to water? Or just open up maybe just weeks later? Is it a must to cover when we propograte?
Rex begonias often times go dormant in winter. They will loose their leaves and only a stem will remain. Dont worry! Cut way back on watering and wait til spring it will come back alive!
I propagate any time, because I have growing lights. If you don’t use growing lights the best time to propagate is spring and summer when the days are not cold.
