Finally got the chance to try out the indy mids!!inverted kingpins base plate from independent trucks and yeah its like i got me a pair of the new mids!!!
Yes there are similar inverted trucks out there in the market but this one has a very specialized kingpin!!
So ride the best and f#ck the rest!!!
INDEPENDENT TRUCKS RULES!!!

I believe the hanger is what the makes the indy mids mid. Regular stage 11 hanger on the mid baseplate will still be the standard 55mm height. The grind clearance with the regular hanger on the mid baseplate is better than the mid hanger. lol.

Stage-9 Low's came out in 2007-ish and Koston got the 1st pro model (with Reynolds I believe) and Stage-10 Low's were amazing imo

From my experience, the clearance is quite good. Once the hangar grinds down and the IKP contacts the grinding surface, the kingpin loosens itself. Pretty annoying, imo.

Hey handy!!! You know the secret to this from it getting loose is blue medium thread locker they sell at homedepot!!! It works wonders

@@MarkPuke13 actually, i forgot to mention that I gave the threads a generous splash of Loctite after I initially saw they kingpin loosened itself. Although the Loctite helped intitally, the issue returned. More of a nuisance, than anything. Even still, the clearance is quite good, I must say. I’ll carry the baseplates over to my next Indy standards. I mostly skate curbs these days, and am now in the habit of checking my back truck a few times during a session 👍

I use the Reynolds Hollow Mids. Pretty good. Same as the Tiago Lemos Mids. Both come with inverted kingpins. Why not just buy a new set of inverted trucks lol

In actuality i made some frankenstein trucks!! The oh so rare Reynolds Hollow LOWS!!! Which indy stopped making and these awesome inverted mids

Yeah they sell just the baseplates of mids with the inverted king pin!!! Check out nhsskatedirect.com or tactics.com! They have it there!!

@@MarkPuke13I heard about them discontinuing the low trucks!! I was pretty bummed but life goes on I guess haha I tried the stage 4 hangers with the inverted kingpins and I gotta say that they work just as well as a standard. Thing is I switched from a thunder 149 to these so I’m getting accustomed to the height difference 😂😂

I have ace trucks. They say that indepentent inverted kingpin baseplates can be used with any hangers. So I'm pretty sure these could work with ace hangers. Does anyone have tried? Because I'm not gonna just blindly buy these if they wont fit 😂 hope someone have answer!

@@MarkPuke13 comment here how it went! I can't blindly just buy those baseplate because I don't have any Indepentent trucks anymore. If those work with Ace hangers I gonna buy these baseplates! I have 55 Ace Classics. Those are 9"

@@MarkPuke13 I sure wait for that Vlog! 🤩 Thank God you have both Independent and Ace trucks, so you can tell me how it works.. 😅 Because even tho those baseplates cost only 39€ here in Finland, I'm still not gonna blindly buy them if they wont work on Ace trucks. That would be lost money then, and way things are these days, I don't have money to spend blindly for something that might not work... I think you understand that. @@MarkPuke13 lil tip for that. That small metal washer that you get with a pack of bones bushings? Put it between your top bushing and top washer and tighten that KP, gives you that lil extra tightness for it to be better.
