Here is a 2016 Chieftain with the stage 2 cams, Bassani slip-ons, and Performance Machine intake. This package helped this bike in the mid and high range by helping it breath more. Black Jesus both are great bikes but I too prefer the Indian offerings.

That bike sounds sweet. Not quite but close to my old panhead. Now, if only the pan had tbe power of this bike. Very nice indeed.

Kevin Walters the cams do give the bike more mid range and higher rpm power. Stock the 111 runs out of breath fairly quick. The cams still provide good bottom end torque but also amplify the mid range and increase upper rpm power. You’re right as I should have mentioned the power delivery in the video too.

@@ZacksRides the main the reason for inquiring is , the internet BS that's out there. There does not seem to be a whole lot of positive reviews on the stage 2 cams. I would prefer to stay OE, that's why I was inquiring. thanks for the response and have a great day

Why do the new Indians have a crazy sound coming from them like something is loose and shaking? (Loose metal sound)

Why take a Engine with plenty of power and torque that idles oh so smooth and push's a 800lbs.bike that gets from 45- 55 mpg. and make it lope like a Harley while idling and drop the Mileage down? The biggest problem with a Harley is that unsteady lope at a idle it is not a good thing. I have worked on FL panheads that idled fairly smooth and we're actually decent bikes then some idiot puts a hot Andrews cam in there or even the hotter FLH cam and the damn things would shake to piece's.

David Raye I get where you are coming from but everyone has their flavor. This is a good choice for someone that wants more of a hotrod sound and more power in the mid range and upper end. Mileage may suffer but reliability shouldn’t. These cams are basically longer duration and no extra lift.

David, I have a 2015 Chief Vintage that came with stage 1&2 upgrades. It's at 34,000 mile with zero issues and it does not vibrate even a stock Harley (I have a softtail heritage too). For me, it's about the sound. I hate the sound of a bike with open exhaust and stock cams. Having a little extra muscle when I want to pass is a nice bonus. I get 40+ miles per gallon, with the windscreen and lower deflectors on and 49-50 without them. You can't compare this thing to a Harley; it's a whole different animal. If you haven't ridden one, you owe it to yourself...

It isn't about the cams between the two. It is the runner motor mounts vs the frame-mounted motor.
