Indian Roadmaster Tour | NY Catskill Mountains Rides | Home Front Cafe! 🇺🇸 

Don't quite know where to start ... My wife and I have been subscribers of your channel for some months now and are thoroughly enjoying your travels. This tour was of particular interest since you were camping in the Catskills (about an hour south of where I grew up) and thought I might catch a glimpse or two of something I recognized. When you drove past the Alcove Reservoir, it brought back memories of early childhood fishing trips with my Dad and brother. At time code 16:38, you paused at a sign that told me you were heading toward familiar places. Then you drove past ‘Superior Oil’ and I knew you were in Clarksville, where my Grandparents had lived for decades. The scenery and sights all brought back memories from there. But the biggest surprise came at the next town you featured, New Salem. Of the hundreds of homes in that village, you showed only a handful in your video. Unbelievably, the last house that you featured (at 17:32) was my childhood home! It’s the yellow two-story sitting right next to the road (I know, really close). Our family lived there for more than 20 years. Altamont, about seven miles down the road, is a beautiful little town where many friends live. Thank you for showing so much of the Home Front Café. Will have to visit next time our travels take us back to upstate New York (we’ve lived in Kentucky for the past decade). For the ‘cherry on top’, you headed back up the mountain and on your way back and stopped at the Thacher Park scenic overlook, showing the very spot where I proposed to my wife nearly 38 years ago. We plan to join you both on the road in a couple years, creating new stories and memories. If we can work out a toy hauler, my ‘girlfriend’ will come along as well … keep safe out there!

Because of your shows I will be purchasing a camper like yours. Have a motorcycle already looking now for a golf cart to complete my garage. My home will be my base, I will continue to work where I'm at. My plan is to start with week vacations to different locations to get a feel of it all before I fully retire. Stumbled across your channel today. Only clicked because it said Catskill mountains. I grew up minutes from where you guys were staying and have spent a lot of time in the surrounding areas you visited. It was kind of cool to see it through the eyes of tourists. A lot of those areas look a lot better through the camera. Lol

Thanks for posting the video. I live in nearby Massachusetts and travel all the roads you showed frequently on my Stratoliner and my V Strom. Can't quite afford an Indian yet. Watching a July ride in March was very enjoyable.

I started following you two a few months ago as I have thought of doing a couple of years of full time RV with retirement coming up. Like you, we have a touring motorcycle (2005 GoldWing) that is part of the plan. Thank you for sharing your experiences, I see a lot of work and talent in your videos and the information shared. Like you Chad, I am former military, having spent 15 years in the US Navy. If you are going to be visiting Western NY/Finger Lakes region again, maybe a ride is in order. Enjoy your travels!!!!

Great video. Thatcher park brought back great memories. Since you folks are food/ride oriented, might I suggest Marsha’s in North Creek. Great home cooking. Breakfast and lunch only. They aren’t open for supper. The “Creek” is about 45 minutes from Lake George on 28 west out of Warrensburg. While there, do the 28N loop through Minerva.

Sweet bike! We are going full time soon but unfortunately I'll have to give up my Harley. Bought a class A and going to tow a car. Oh well, eventually we'll get another bike. For now we'll have to live vicariously through your riding videos. Happy camping and ride safe!

3yrs later... been following uou longer than 3 yrs, but some how this missed me. Love Fuel Moto. Run their stuff here too on Amber (my H-D Touring Bike). Living in Wisc, the home of Fuel Moto, I've also been out with the owners older brother (a biker & hot rodder). Biker Bob as his internet stuff goes (also in upper Wisc.). Cool bike mods. The riding videos is what drew me into Changing Lanes, but the RV stuff is also of interest as I too run a TH. Keep up on the rides when you can and hooe Lucille can make it up/down the cabin drive on her own.

Another great video. I particularly enjoyed the Home Front Cafe part, and y’all obviously enjoyed eating there. Therefore, I highly recommend that y’all visit Fredericksburg, Texas when you pass through Texas again. It is a wonderful town with lots of history and a lot of neat shops and wineries . I’ve lost count, but I think there are 29-30 wineries along the highway between Johnson City and Fredericksburg. Probably the highlight of Fredericksburg is the Pacific War Museum. Since Chad is an old Navy man, I know he would love it. The entry ticket is good for two days, and you can easily spend that much time there. Fredericksburg: good food, good wine, fun shops, and the Pacific War Museum. You won’t regret going there.

That restaurant was truly incredible. I live in NY State. Definitely have to make that a destination ride. Had never heard of it till you showed us. My Dad was a WWII vet, my wife’s Dad was a Korean War vet. We have 3 Air Force vet Son’s. Am also a Ride Captain in Patriot Guard Rides, so military is very true to our hearts. We would love that place. Thanks. Happy camping and safe riding.

Super cool cafe! Love war history and memorabilia. If you are ever in the Pensacola area, you have to visit the Navy base and the Air Museum. The lighthouse has just undergone millions of dollars in restoration and is awesome to climb to the top. Let me know if you two are ever in the area! Keep up the cool videos.

Great video. I love the bike and your ride in the Catskills. That's my neck of the woods.. LOL Next time your in NY you should check out Bethel and take in a concert at the Woodstock site It's amazing. This year is their 50th anniversery. The Woodstock museum, at the site is really great as well.

Just found your channel. Great video and new sub here! I have a 16 Chieftain with many of the same engine mods, plus custom dyne tune by an expert Indian/Victory technician here in the NE. I installed a RM seat for my copilot when I bought it and she loves the comfort. We ride with friends of ours that live in upstate NY, and ride over to NH and up toward the Canuck border. Love your RV Trailer and that sweet FORD truck too. Ride safe, Ride often.
