@@brianrisbrook6043 For my Yamaha Corbin offers two seats.. The Lady and the Gun fighter is for two people .. I think they one person seat is just called The Gun Fighter..
I sat on a scout bobber last summer 2019. Friend of mine asked me to come with him to pick up his newly purchased used Honda Fury. While I waited for him to sign the paperwork I gawked at the Indians. The bigger touring baggers never interested me. Honestly drew me away from Harleys in general. I saw a line up of 4 bobbers. Low, matte colors, mean lookin motors. I just thought to myself: "Now that's a big v twin I'd ride. I'm 5'7" by the way. Sat on one and it just felt perfect. I couldn't nearly afford one of these bikes at the time so I didn't bother to waste the dudes time test riding it. I was obsessed though. You're 5k and 10k reviews sold me. I had friends that ride tell me "You can't go from 250cc to 1100cc. That bike's too expensive. Not a good starter bike." After a ton of research and money saving, I bought a 2019 in August. I could not be happier. The former owner made some changes I at first didn't like but have learned to. The pipes are super shorties. Insanely loud. New grips. Cage floorboards. Upgraded headlight. Indian saddlebag. Silly (but now I think they're kinda cool) LED lights. How he didn't get a new seat is beyond me but it only had 3600 miles. Barely broken in. I love it. You're the tipping point to make me buy it man. Thank you.
The scout is a bike that you can easily ride it as a beginner and it won’t thrash you without remorse. It’s also a bike that will throw down if you crank the throttle and let it rip. It all comes down to self control and the scout is a fantastic bike to keep for years
Honestly these bigger bikes are not necessarily not beginner friendly. My very first bike was a Harley Street 750 and I still ride this bike around today.
Beginner bike is BS, just buy what you like, I started with Honda Fury and now looking to buy Scout bobber as second bike, Bobber, Fury, vRod, and Diavel to me are the best looking bikes on the street.
Nice. Yeah I was in the market for a Honda Rebel 500. Everyone says you’ll grow out of it but I was convinced that was the bike for me…until I layed eyes on the Indian Scout Bobber. Like you, I’m now obsessed. I’ll be getting mine this winter when sellers are motivated. I saw a few ppl complain about seat comfort. Did you change the stock seat and, if so, what did you get?
@@DadDayAfternoon I upgraded to Indian's Comfort seat for the bobber. It's a huge improvement. I've heard the Mustang seat is much better also. My bike is black and I like the contrast of the brown seat so I just stuck with Indian's upgrade.
I for one loved your photography, commentary and honesty. Passion for the bike comes across strongly. I've ridden mostly sport bikes, was looking at a Harley but will look for a UK Indian dealer now.
Hi Alex. I just would like to say, your reviews and style had a profound affect on me purchasing a 2018 IS, Bobber, Red/Black Icon, but will immediately get your same Corbin, and some other mods. Thank you my friend. You never know how we can impact others by making a simple video.. Kevin
Great videos on the Scout! I’m in the market for a new bike and your reviews helped greatly enlightening me on the pros and cons. Would love to see a video focusing on the modifications you did as well as the maintenance you do yourself. Keep up the good work!
Awesome review. Thanks for being blunt honest with the bike unlike most who try and be cute about it. Looking to purchase a scout as a first bike in the near future and just trying to learn as much as I can!
I’m trying to get there! A lot of people around me are saying no but honestly fuck that! I’m miserable right now, and I know riding would make me happy
Now that's a crazy long time! I'm actually really thinking to buy a first bike. Two kids, honestly I'm worried about them in case of an accident. Anywho! How about you? Had any accidents? Cheers
Good to know that you've had so many trouble free miles. I'm considering the Scout 60. Also, your bike looks kick ass...nice subtle upgrades and sounds mean as hell. Nice review.
I’m watching tons of bike videos because I’m wanting to start riding. Can’t shake the desire. This one has been at the top of my list. Glad to hear you’re opinion of it as for a beginner bike. Man, that exhaust sounds sick
Here I am looking for my second bike, the first one was a scooter I had when I was a teenager, this Indian seems to check many boxes, and yes it sounds better than a Harley Sportster S
Thanks for the update video I've been thinking about trading my fz-09 in for a Indian Bobber for a while now but I had a lot of questions that you have pretty much answered in your videos so thanks again and keep up the great work
You did a really good job on the video. I've been looking at the Bobber as I want something to just cruise around on. My wife is terrified to ride with me so I think this might be the right bike for me. It is one of the sharpest looking machines out there and you can't beat the price...
Thank you for your video! I went to an Indian dealership yesterday to see this scout and... I fell in love... But your video help me to notice some things I wasn't aware of. So thank you again and be safe out there!
Hey mate! I changed my mind and decided to go for a 2021 Scout Bobber instead of another ZX-10R, all because of your reviews! Thank you! Edit: Coincidentally, it turns out that I bought it the same day this vid was posted!
Really digging that bike. Like the mods you've done. The seat really makes the bike stand out. One thing I was never a fan of was the factory seats they put on these bobbers. I was about to ask what kind of seat you put on, then you mentioned. Excellent work sir.
I really like how polaris did the design on this bike , the slope or arching look at a side profile . It all comes together giving the bike a really sporty muscled look. Personally I ride Harley when it comes to cruisers but man this design has it all . A dragster look would be great
I've ridden all brands.... this is one of the most finely engineered bikes I've ever ridden/worked on. All thought out...even when they put things in unusual places it looks like it fits, cuz it does. Wonderful bike....
Nice and straight up video man, I loved it. 👌🏻 Nice Bobber by the way! I'll soon pick up my new thunder black Bobber Twenty. Yeah, the stock pipes are terrible, both as how they look and how they sound. I'll take the bike home with V&H Slash Cuts already installed. 😜 Loved the closure of the video, ahah! Pure wisdom. 🙏🏻 Enjoy your riding!
I just love the fact that you can miles in this things and don't worry about nothing, and by the way I asked a Harley mechanic what was better Harley or Indian and he said dude if want enjoy the rode go with Indian other wise ill be seeing you pretty often. And this video proves that. And this thing looks sick, now I dont know if I should get ABS since I'm a beginner.
I love my 2021 Scout! def doing the pipes those sound great and looking into thise shocks.... just seeing this I'm removing the shrek turn signals tonight! thanks for the update. it makes me a proud owner knowing I have a reliable machine.
I’m currently working on my permit/license. I’m fast approaching 30 next month and I have 2 young kids. I’ve been thinking.. is it worth it.. taking the chance? And… yeah… I think it is.I needed to hear that at the end brother. I been looking at this bike for 6 months. Great review! I’m sold. Ride safe man!
I love the video. I have only rode Crotch Rockets. And I'm thinking about getting a different type of bike and I really like the look of this bike. Thank you.
Great video, was looking forward to watching your first two reviews for this bike but I guess you took them down. Seriously thinking about buying one. Pretty sure if I watched your first two, I would find myself at the Indian dealership before I was done!
I bought a 2019 Scout (not bobber) back in March. I have just over 3k miles on it now and love it. I too changed the pipes and put on Vance & Hines slip-ons. Anyone thinking they might get a Scout, just do it. You won't regret it. Thanks for doing the video. I enjoyed it very much.
I've lived in Ca my entire life and still have never been to downtown LA. Been through LA but have never seen the night life out there. Live in Fresno so maybe one of these days, I'll have to bring my Scout out and blast through some of roads out there! Your Bobber is pretty kick ass man!
I think I made a comment on your vid a couple years back. Amazing looking bike or something. I can very happily say I just ordered a '23 Scout Bobber in the sagebrush smoke color. I can't wait man. Thanks for igniting my interest in this machine.
@@drdabber710 Best decisión I ever made. It’s pure happiness. Every time I go out I’m getting compliments on her. I’m doing financing but still worth it.
Awesome review, glad I came across it. For myself speaking as someone who has never ridden before but is planning on learning this summer, and who loves the look and style of this Indian, would you recommend this as a first bike? Thanks and stay safe/healthy. 👍
I test rode the scout 60 on a demo day over the weekend and I was surprised at how much power it had. I've been looking at the regular scouts since they came out. I might have to pull the trigger some day soon...
Hey man. I do like the Scout Bobber. Of all the different Scout configurations, this one is my favorite. And I really like what you have done with yours. Too bad I can't ride one, I just don't fit on the Scout - but that's my problem. Looks like you have done all the mods I would have done if I had one. One thing I have wondered about was the brakes - I would rather see 2 discs up front, but tell me - how is the braking for ya? OK? Overall, though I gotta say, Well done, Sir! I'm glad she's workin out for ya. Looking forward to the 20,000 mile report! Cheers.
It stops like there's one disk up front. Still powerful enough to do everything you'd need it to do but definitely does NOT feel like a 2 disk setup. Using the back break in conjunction, as you should, removes any "unsure" feeling about the rate of slowing....
I keep up my dream to get a (my first) bike. For 3 yrs I'm going to Dealers and look at the bikes. Whether it's HD or Indian. I was first on the 'Forty-Eight' trip, but I have grown on the Scout Bobber though, and once the CV19 madness is over, I'll take serous steps to get it. Thx for the video, always great to see those kinda vids. Have Subscribed too, so Iam looking forward to more Bike stuff vids. Take it easy folks, safe rides. Best wishes from Melbourne Australia. 😎👍
Word of advice: don't ever have your first bike be something over $5k. Buy something easy to fix and something you won't feel bad about scratching or dropping, like a Honda shadow or Yamaha whatever. One of the intro to mid-level cc engines will greatly increase your confidence without breaking your wallet. If several years go by and you still want to ride, you can then sell your starter bike pretty easily and upgrade to a 900+cc engined bike fresh off the floor.
Not normally a fan of the style of Indian bikes, but this bobber is a clear exception! IMO I would have installed some short Z-bars but thatś just a personal feeling. Good on you!
I am really thinking about the Scout. Your vid here is definitely pushing me more in that direction. Could you please give me the name of the seat and the pipes again, but yea guys thank you so much again for your time , knowledge, and vid. Take care, be safe!
I love the looks of the scout. I love its low height, and the streamlined gas tank and long wheelbase. I have other responsibilities at the moment, and I shouldn't take on more debt, but I'm going to get one, **** it.
