@@ameen2947 yes, we did get Kingdom of The Crystal Skull, and we're getting Indy 5, but this ending is just a perfect way to end the series. Riding off into the sunset, how can it get any better than that? It's the same reason why I consider Return of the Jedi to be the film in the Star Wars saga, it wraps up the original trilogy and Anakin's story so perfectly that a new set of movies was just pointless.
@@starpilot1983 but he lost his *last remaining family so the 4th film gave Indy a chance to start a New family (Uniting with his old love who became a widowed mother) *His father died in 1951 6 years before the 4th film
@@AquaMittens57 Different era, even for the Oscars you have to check requirements to be a contender. If you are a director under these big companies, have to follow an agenda. Probably Nolan is an exception, with the free hand + unlimited budget, maybe Tarantino also.
The scenery and the music just makes it overwhelmingly emotional!!!😭 Truly a masterpiece of a movie!! A solid 10/10. Even though there is a sequel this still feels like the absolute best ending to an Indiana Jones movie.
Professor Henry Jones: And what did you find, Junior? “ Indiana Jones: Junior”? Dad… Sallah: Please, what does it always mean, this… this “Junior”? Professor Henry Jones: That’s his name: Henry Jones, Junior. Indiana Jones: I like Indiana. Professor Henry Jones: We named the dog Indiana. Marcus Brody: May we go home now, please? Sallah: The dog? You are named after the dog? Indiana Jones: I’ve got a lot of fond memories of that dog. Ready? Professor Henry Jones: Ready. Marcus Brody: Indy! Henry! Follow me. I know the way! Ha! Professor Henry Jones: Got lost in his own museum, huh? Indiana Jones: Uh-huh. Professor Henry Jones: After you, Junior. Indiana Jones: Yes, sir. Ha!
Rey: what does this mean? Always with his Ben? Han: That's his name, Ben Solo Kylo: I like Kylo Han: We named the dog Kylo Finn: Can we go home please? Rey: The dog? you are named after the dog Kylo: I've got a lot of fun memories of that dog
+Alexander Edward Pytko Sorry, but I don't agree with you. I think it is good as it is now that Henry said "Junior", not "Indiana". He already said "Indiana" when pursuading Indy to not try reaching the Holy Grail, and I think that's enough.
Fans really need to tone down demands for sequels, especially when they end as perfectly as film series like Indiana Jones and TLC, Toy Story 3, and even stand alone films that are awesome just as they are. When Spielberg said he wanted to keep IJ to just the 3 movies, fans should've respected that instead of demanding for more because... well, look what we got from the hounding.
You can understand where people are coming from with Indiana Jones, he's a character who's been on many adventures, collected all kinds of artefacts and they want to see those adventures
Indiana Jones: Return from the retirement home! I’m not looking forward to the 2nd one other than that the almighty Harrison Ford will be in it, playing a role he loves.
I think Mr Sunday Movies said it best. This was theatirical end of "the great adventure" of Indiana Jones. Kingdom of Crystal Skull and Dial of Destiny were epilogue to how tge adventurer deals with tge world changing around him.
This Movie was So Great There is Just Something the Old Indi Movies have that the New Ones don't They were made with Such Class and Style, R.I.P Sean Connery.
Is it so hard for Henry to realize that Indy does not like being called Junior, especially in public? I mean I'd find it embarrassing. Thankfully, my dad didn't name me, junior. I guess Henry calls him that out of habit because it's what he's used to calling him.
If there's ever a franchise which ends on a high with a sunset ending like this and Only Fools and Horses in 1996 then production teams should look at these examples and NOT bring them back years later. In doing so, we get poor entries. Subsequently, fans go on to ignore them, feeling they tarnish a wonderful ending.
THIS was my favorite movie out of the whole franchise! 👍 ❤️ And that AMAZING ending there where they ride off into the sunset brings back so many memories of my childhood that makes me get all choked up … kinda like I am right now after watching this scene once again, lol 🥲😌 RIP Sean Connery & Denholm Elliot! 🥺🍺 Indiana Jones LIVES FOREVER!! 👑🏆
Fun fact: That's no stuntman playing as Marcus as he rides off, that's Denholm Elliot himself. Elliot was an experienced enough rider to make it look like Marcus was about to fall out of his saddle.
My idea is to animate one of my characters riding away, just like Indy did. In fact, I have seen many characters riding a creature to get from one place to another really quick.
Even after watching Dial of Destiny, this is still the perfect ending for Indiana Jones. I didn't hate Dial of Destiny, but this just is way better than what that film had for it's ending
Did i hallucinate it or did i see the Ark of the Covenant put on board the Titanic in the last scene of Raiders of the lost Ark? I was SINCERELY POSITIVE i had......or was it a case of too many drugs in the 60s.
