I’m praying we get a score only version of this film, I’d love to hear all the re-recordings of the older music and new music that wasn’t on the album.
@@harley2704we haven’t, unfortunately. But Mangold has shown interest in it when people mentioned it though. And I know he already said he reconsidered retirement, but this might be John’s final big blockbuster film.
Was kinda hoping they’d announce a digital release date, but this was really cool. Some of the effects already look better than when I saw it in theaters. Hopefully they are working on a CGI rendering. These days by home release they do perfect certain scenes visually.
The opening scene brought out the little kid in me watching Raiders for the first time at 10 years old. My introduction to Harrison Ford and Indiana Jones. Watching this movie at 25 years old, and seeing young Indy on the big screen was a dream come true. How this movie is flopping, is a tragedy.
It was a very very very very very good Indiana Jones movie! I think it paid immensely great homage to the older classics (I & III) and is miles ahead of the 2nd & 4th installments. Thank you James Mangold and the whole team! I wish one day you can read this comment and know what a great movie you made for all of us to enjoy for decades to come.
Mangold did a phenomenal job. Have seen it twice and still think about it all the time. This one is truly special and will forever have a special place in my heart. Thank you Harrison for another fantastic Indy adventure.
@@O1OO1O1 How did they destroy his character? Also, the reshoot rumors don't carry weight. The ONLY two references to a re-shoot was [1] John Williams mentioned "shooting a new ending" (Mangold debunked this, he said Williams was mistaken). The other reference was [2] Harrison Ford saying simply this: "We did a little work on the ending" -- which could mean anything. What proof do you have that an original ending was supposed to replace Indy? It make no sense. The online trolls are in full force on this one.
Watching Indiana Jones never gets old! Although it might be asking for a lot, I would have loved to have an Indiana Jones trilogy for every decade from the 80s to today. Indy is a character that, in my opinion, works well in any era. I also love the fact that each film is different and original in its own way, which is why some people adore one film, while others prefer another... every fan has their personal ranking.
It's great to see that Mr. Ford did alot of the deaged scenes. It's not just about the deaged face that makes it work, but Harrison's unique physicality that brings back young Indy.
Thank you Spielberg, Lucas, Williams, Ford, and all the cast and crew that made Indiana Jones one of the best in cinema, one of the best fictional characters, and helped shaped movies and even peoples lives! Ke Huy Quan’s return and appearance is one of many (in irl) ❤ Cant imagine any alternate universe where even the smallest or details is different to OUR Indy. It was destined. Cant believe that was OUR last adventure with Indy 🥲 GIVE EM’ HELL INDIANA JONES!!!
@@average_playerorpayson118 no, sorry, I was talking irl like about his appearance in Temple (starting his acting career by chance, it’s amazing and funny how he was casted) then his return to the big screen recently! If only he did. If they make a spin-off ITS GOTTA be Short Round! Ke still kicks ass too
This is awesome, I love these bts breakdowns, they’re extremely fascinating. Loved the film in theaters, and can’t wait to get it on home Blu-ray to watch the over and over again with the special features, just like the way I did on vhs as a kid with the original trilogy 😆
It wasn’t a great movie at all. Disney was literally crapping on its audience with the anti capitalist rhetoric. The female co-star was a monstrosity. Don’t fall for these bot posts.
@@marthastubbs8321 we are the audience. You don’t send hate mail to the fans and expect people to sit there like idiots and think it’s cute. How stupid are you when you see the messaging and think it’s ok?
Dial of Destiny? Great, great fun!! 👍 Thank you to everyone involved...especially all those Covid team members who helped keep production on track so that we could actually get another Indy adventure!
Hat's off the the CGI and de-ageing designers. I loved about how he look exactly like the young indy from the trilogy. Loved the opening sequence! This is one of best movies of 2023 for me honestly. Im a huge fan of Indiana Jones 🤠
Probably not the best Indiana Jones movie but I love and respect that they tried to give an amazing end for the character following Steven Spielberg film style. They respected the way Indiana Jones was made. I'm so happy to see how Harrison Ford plays this role one more time and be able to say goodbye in this wonderful way. I enjoyed so much this final adventure Thanks Harrison, Indiana Jones woudn't be the same without you.
Behind the scenes look great of Indiana Jones 5, i think 🤔 James Mangold did pretty good job direct his style directing Indiana Jones outstanding 👍👏👏⚡❤️💯🙌. Harrison Ford legend as Indiana Jones no matter what 🙏
I saw the film on Friday on my birthday, and I loved it! I thought it was great even if I really did not like Helena all that much as a character til the end! It felt like classic Indy for the most part and is so much better than Crystal Skull!
@@kyle1137 Shes a badass and is just as smart as Indy, but as far as her intentions are and her attitude, I could not stand her. It honestly felt like she was competing against Indy and her behavior when his friend that Antonio Banderas played died, I couldn't help but cringe.
When J. R. R. Tolkien sold the movie rights for "Lord of the Rings," he did so forbidding Disney from ever being involved. He said, "As long as it was possible to veto anything from or influenced by the Disney studios..."
Let's clear this up for a few people Normally we Fade in from the Paramount Mountain into an Indiana Jones Film, but for this last one they faded in from the Lucasfilm logo to the lock on the truck. Though I do think they shoud've included the Year Cards for the Past Adventure during WW2 and the present Day in 1969 like all the other Indy films, and I hope that's something they fix for the Blu-Ray Release.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is my favorite movie of this year and I loved all the action sequences and this was a true love letter to the franchise and great final adventure and seeing Harrison Ford one last time as Indiana Jones was awesome
I think the movie will do really well once it goes to Disney plus, a ton of people are avoiding the movie now because they have heard it’s all about Helena and she is the main character over Indy but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Indy is the main character and there is no arguing that, it didn’t feel like one of those woke movies on any sort of way at all.
Saw it 4 times.. going for my 5th! Yeah. The grifters get more views with negativity.. and they can latch on to the Kathleen Kennedy/Disney haters. Low hanging fruit. They aren’t real fans of anything.
I thought Helena and Indy had great chemistry and i loved the pacing of this movie, not so fast i couldn't keep up but never boring. I cried at the end.
They did such a superb job with the overall film, especially the opening. Kathleen Kennedy knows how strong the openings of Temple and Raiders are, so she knew that Mangold would be perfect for the 1944 sequence and man did it pay off. Plus, Dial brings back the grit of Indiana Jones not seen since Temple. Last Crusade and Crystal Skull brought in a lighthearted tone for the whole family, but Dial was back to brutal, violent and dark. Sure, the violence should have been heavier than Temple's, but it's not "don't worry, kids! The monkey thrown by Spalko held on and made it!" territories of safe.
Really enjoyed the film. The one frustration I have is that it’s very obvious that a lot of the stunts are ‘real’ ie. they’re actually performed but then augmented with CGI. For me, the CG takes me instantly out of the movie, you’re aware that somethings ‘off’. I’m not talking about the de-aging, which I thought was very good, but stuff like the motorcycle chase and the sequence on top of the train. Compare the bike chase in Last Crusade to the one in this….Anyway, overall has a good time with the movie and will see it again. It deserves more success at the box office.
Crafting Indiana Jones! For the Dial of Desting :D Well, they got it right for about 20 minutes! I will give LucasFilm that aka give em hell Indiana Jones :D
Watched Indiana Jones and The Dial of the Destiny today and it was an amazing adventure, the perfect final ride for Indy 🤠 Thank you for making my childhood special Harrison Ford ❤
I love the Indiana Jones franchise . I like The Dial of Destiny . This movie is a fitting farewell for Indiana Jones character in my opinion . James Mangold did such a great job with this film . See you soon Dr Jones 🤠 .
Huge Respect to the originals, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and felt the ratings on imdb & rotten should've been better. What a legend, Harrison Ford!
Looking at the comments I'm glad to see I'm not the only Indy fan who liked this film. That rumoured spin-off with aliens and crystal skulls would have been terrible. Finally we got Indy 4.
The haters gonna hate. This is a great movie!! Loved it. A little back story....My 22 yr old daughter grew up watching my 3 DVD collection of Indiana Jones. And we went to an old style drive-in to see the 4th one. This past weekend we went to see Dial in the theater. All the magic was there! The first 20 minutes alone is worth the ticket price. Go see it. You'll be glad you did
It wasn’t great. The Helena character was a hand grenade to the entire movie. I especially despised the anti capitalist dialogue from her. It was hate mail from Disney to its audience. They have real problems at Disney and this movie shows it.
@@mik3ymomoBro what? 🤣 Disney are capitalists, they would never insult themselves. Are you drunk? Helena was placed in the wrong for her anti-capitalism line. Indy shut down the entire auction as a result, and he was placed by the narrative as being heroic and incredible. Same with in Tangiers. Helena suggests to go another way, but Indy decides to go his way, and you know what happens? He found Voller. They are giving Indy so much respect I'm amazed you cannot see it. He ignored the others, trusts his gut, and is REWARDED for it, while the others have to be rescued despite them thinking Indy needs to be rescued. Everytime Helena or Teddy decide to rescue Indy, they end up having to be rescued BY Indy. You can't get more respect for a character than placing them in the right.
@@mik3ymomo I can't tell if you're willfully ignorant of context clues or not. Helena said stealing was a form of capitalism, Indy shut down the entire auction, which made Helena frustrated, then didn't listen to her when she said to do it her way, and was rewarded for trusting his gut.
Honestly thought it was a body double doing the young indy scenes the fact it was harrison made it alot better the scene when he takes the nazis tea cup is honestly hilarious
@@thedearleader7054Not at all 😂 But this isn't the Star Wars Sequels, kiddo, it's Indy. How embarrassing if OP has never even seen the Sequels... for you. 👀
@@thedearleader7054 Are you illiterate? I said "NOT AT ALL" I'm not defending anything, you're just a jerk for thinking you know what people can and cannot like. That's all. Oh, wait, I forgot, you're a man-child, bet you won't even take what I said into consideration. See? Hurts to have people assume things. Don't do it to others, and they won't do it to you. :)
37 in 1944??? Try 45 - Indy was born in 1899. The 1969 setting for this film should’ve been around 1977, based on both the character’s appearance and Harrison Ford’s actual age.
I'm very upset Mutt was killed in this Indiana Jones movie!!! Fans were so excited to see him with his mom and dad again 💗 Somehow I've waited all this time and I'm pretty disappointed 😞 This movie could of been so much more. But, all our favorite characters were taken away and Disney has ruined an iconic hero!!! So sad after waiting so long!
For all those that genuinely liked the movie, more power to you. However, if you ask me, Indiana Jones deserved a story at least as good as _Fate of Atlantis_ for his sendoff.
