You know what i would love to see? I would want to see an indy animated series, harrison could still dub the character and give her his style, but this will be still like the good old indy. Some 40 minutes indy adventure in ww2, 1930s, 1920s and so on… they can also Expand on the story of the characters from the previous films, you know, sallah, marion, willie, marcos... Just imagine how good this can be. I really hope that disney will think about it, it sure can be nice, and as it seems, it’s the only we can get more of this series without movies that would only get worse from here on.
i’m Going to see the film today! Reecntly just rewatched the series and remembered why i love this series so much! got big hopes for this movie, it doesn’t have to be better than raiders or last crusade, just better than crystal skull. Tho i’ll enjoy every movie starring harrisom ford with the hat and the whip.
Than you are probably going to be very disappointed. Atleast in Crystal Skull Indy isn't a washed up weak broken old man that lost his courage and needs his God Daughter to take him out of a drunken stupor for one last adventure before he dies as her sidekick. Also don't expect coherent story or character development because according to Kathleen Kennedy, "We need to trick our audience sometimes so that they will embrace our vision of inclusion ,Diversity , Equity, and strong female leads this is more important than story developed"
Update: Just got out of the movie theatre, still not sure about my opinion on this movie. This wasn’t much of an indiana jones movie like it was just a fun adventure movie. I Enjoyed so much from the opening sequence in the train, and i think that if the whole movie would’ve been like this opening sequence the movie could actually be better than the temple of doom. Yes, i said it. But unfortunately they didn’t do it, and what we get is kind of a nice nostalgic movie with some really good moments in it (i also loved the cave scenes) and some moments that just didn’t work for me (what the hell is going on in Greece? Didn’t like it much. One thing that really annoyed me in this film was how they just behave indy sometimes as the old man who need to be saved by the younger heroes (honestly, i don’t like Helena at all and was really annoyed in her endlessly pointless scenes with teddy.) but i have to say i think it’s better than the crystal skull. Still not raiders, but sure is a nice movie i would love to see again, but maybe i would rather to skip some of the scenes with teddy and Helena. After all, i came to the cinema today to see Harrison ford punching nazis in the face, not a naughty British girl talk to a teenager boy about crime.
Nope. Your friends will spoil the ending for you and you'll be so disappointed to hear that Helena knocks Indy out so hard with one punch that she can drag him across time and space and dump him in his apartment before he wakes up. You'll be going to find a dollar theater still playing the Flash.
Lesson number one: whenever a trailer says, "critics agree! This is the biggest summer blockbuster of the year," "two thumbs up!" It's usually not true. Watch with caution
“ this movie has critics cheering.” Yeah right… the audience were talking to each other during the movie about how bored it was. That’s a fact, look it up on the internet!
@@davidthirugnanakumar7888 now that movie I'm going to see atleast twice like I did TOP Gun Maverick, Black Adam ,The BATMAN, JOHN WICK , NOTICE A PATTERN NONE OF THOSE MOVIES WERE CREATED BY DISNEY ,WRITTEN BY FLEABAG OR PRODUCED BY KATHLEEN KENNEDY. WE WANT GREAT MOVIES NOT MARY SUE MOVIES!
Nope it's the double tap to the back of his head when it comes to respect. Indiana Jones is just a withered ,weak old man that's how Kathleen Kennedy and her Sith Apprentice Fleabag wanted it so they can continue to ruin yet another Lucasfilm Franchise with their Forced Diversity, Inclusion, and virtue signalling, jammed into every movie at the expense of great story and character development in this movie Indy is their Lattest victim being forced to play sidekick to his God Daughter Helena in his own movie . 🚽🚽🧻
Guys do not watch it in theatre at all. It doesn't worth it, it's just hyped with old legacy. Other than that there ain't nothing in it. It's just all dark from beginning till end. And whst they shown in trailer Is no where in the movie. I think people who make trailers are best film makers than the makers itself
I love it. They put up a stock image of the names of numerous publications but don't admit that none of the critics from any of these publications is praising "Helena and the elderly abue of Indian Jones."
Oh shut up already, you miserable anti-woke reactionaries were completely wrong about the movie it didn't have any of that nonsense in it, go find some other film to feel like a persecuted victim about.
@@hawkerhawthorne881 Did I wrote review ? It was my opinion !!! I watch movies for entertainment not for money … looks like you got paid for negative reviews 🤔
😬 uhhh… I don’t like judging a book (or in this case a movie) by its cover but…. The way this has been aggressively advised, I don’t want to step into something that you know what when it stinks.
I recon ppl who have an opinion about this film without seeing it need to see it to decide wether they hate it or not, i went in thinking oh theyl ruin this 4 sure and came out satisfied it didnt end after KOTCS
Soo than you not only need to smell 💩😫 to know it's 💩 even though you've experienced what it's is many times before with STAR WARS , KENOBI , MANDO SEASON 3 , WILLOW YOU NEED TO GO TO RESTAURANT PAY SIT DOWN AND TASTE IT EVERY TIME TO KNOW FOR CERTAIN IT'S SHIT ,??!🤨🍽️💩😫
@@insertlastname nice man you can think that idrc everyone can have an opinion as long as they actually saw the film and aint following clickbait videos and fake movie leaks to get that opinion
@@chelseyeasdale I don't have to see the film to know it's shit . And the reviews I've seen aren't click bait they are independent media or Fans and Geeks of Sci Fi, Adventure escape like me that love great movies we are a tight community of fans that love great movies . Give us a great movie and we'll support it . Kathleen Kennedy has said that the only thing she cares about is having Diversity, Inclusion and strong female lead characters in every movie . We have no problem with those when done right for Story , Princess Lea,Queen Amadala, Marion Raven Wood, Laura Croft , Mace Windu, Lando Calrisian, Jango Fett , Foxy Brown , Samantha C ,Blade ,King pin ( DareDevil Movie starring Micheal Clark Dunkan ) Why were all these movies able to give us great stories with such diverse actors and characters and all of Disney movies made in the past 5 years especially Lucasfilm unable??!
@@dictorfeelgood your delusional. Meaning of Delusional: characterized by or holding false beliefs or judgements about external reality that are held despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary, typically as a symptom of a mental condition.
more character assassination posing as a "character arc" or "evolution..." for the sake of equity of course.... can't let an old white man get away with being a hero these days.... Because a highly educated professor, filled with a life of adventure, a life of significant discovery, a classroom teacher, a rich life in the field is a different arc to a burnout... this is bastardizing the physics to create a disheartening arc.... it is an unnatural evolution to turn out a broken alcoholic with slurred speech in an empty classroom and forgotten after Indy's rich life... this is what disney thinks of the great Dr Jones....
Get over yourself. It’s gonna be ok. Judging by your comment You are either A. Already old and jaded and proving that people do change as they get older and quality of life gets considerably worse or B. Too young to know that and just copy and paste the bullshit you read on the internet over and over and slowly become example A.
Dude, shut up and put that miserable persecution complex and poisonous toxic politics away, the people peddling it to you like a dripfeed of addictive outrage are just using you. The movie wasn't the soapbox "feminist displacement agenda" all the doomers cried it would be, it was a moving and satisfying sendoff for one of cinema's greats. Every film in the franchise begins with Indy in a low spot and then working his way through an adventure culminating in him confronting and learning from the past and finding the greatest treasure in those he loves, Dial of Destiny was no different, so stop whining like this is all some exaggerated modern invention designed to hurt and make a victim out of you.
People keep saying they are reusing shots and to hide "bad stuff from the movie" but did you ever hear of spoilers? you want them to put the whole movie in the trailer hah i don't think so. It will be good. IM watching it tomorrow.
I'm so excited to watch this film . The Dial of Destiny looks so much fun . The cinematography looks really good . I trust in James Mangold and his vision for the film 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠 .
Probably because those critics had their eggheads so far up their butts that they weren't fans of the original Indiana Jones movies. Any fan who loves the Indy franchise will enjoy Dial of Destiny, it was definitely better than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and a satisfying close for Indy's adventures.
I watched it yesterday. Really enjoyed it! Thank you, Lucasfilm; for another adventure with our favourite professor! Also... All the complaints about Kathleen Kennedy make even LESS sense to me after seeing this. I blame the ST's failure more on JJ Abrams.
In 2023, no big budget blockbuster is bigger than Dial of Destiny and The Flash in terms of quality. Even though the anti-woke crowd and conservative backwards thinking foreign countries purposely sabotage movies (box office wise and word of mouth with clickbait fake outrage videos) that don't fit their obvious political stance, it ultimately doesn't make a difference. Dial of Destiny is already better than Crystal Skull by default, the proof is in the trailers and TV spots. Pheobe Waller-Bridge is magnetic and razor sharp as Helena. We get a character arc for Jones (which hasn't happened since Temple). The action is realistic and practical (look up the filming of the tuk tuk chase and portions of the 1944 opening). So, we have so many ingredients already that make a great film, not just Indiana Jones film, and I'm 100% ready to enjoy it.
They should have left it at 3. Maybe revived the young Indy series and have episodes tie into flash forwards to bring the elder character back here and that at most.
This summer's biggest adventure made $60,368,101 in its first weekend. This is worse than the first weekend (Fri- Sunday) of The Little Mermaid and this film just finally made $500 million in its 5th week. I can assure you these numbers were not because of the marketing but the deconstruction of another main character.
Kennedy did good with Indy 5, just as she did with the Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and all the other films of our youth that she's been a producer on whether it's Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, Goonies, Gremlins, Jaws, and of course Indiana Jones. If anything, God needs to save you folks from your sad persecution complex.
@@RedZeshinX meh I used to be a believer, he never listened to my prayers my life has been full of suffering and god did nothing to save me from it so I left that life of having false hope. Christianity can be very narrow minded and an outdated way to think anyway just take what you want from all religions and apply it to your life .
@@RedZeshinX when it comes to Kathleen she really hasn't done anything good since she's been in charge imo, yes she was involved in everything you mentioned in some way shape or form but she barely ever made any good decisions for them
Lol. Everyone's known the plot for like 4 months. A 20 minute deepfake. Old drunk depressed indy banging on doors because the music is too loud. An annoying feminist who thinks she sexy. Archimedes bla bla macguffin. Indy knocked out by Fleabag and returned to 1969 to reunite with Marion. Roll credits.
@@TheRedman790 You sad incels decided you were going to hate it before you even watched it. People who aren't addicted to outrage culture porn like yourselves walked in with open minds and walked out having enjoyed a good movie, meanwhile pathetic persecution complex trolls walked in looking for things to feel like victims over and walked out feeling vindicated over exaggerations in their mind. Get a life and put away that toxic political poison, you're being used.
I saw it on Thursday, it was great, I recommend watching it. All the anti-woke doomers were wrong, doesn't have any of that stuff in it, just a moving tribute to a legend of cinema.
Someone get rid of Phoebe, she is a terrible actress, I'd choose the actress from Raiders of the Lost Ark over her everyday of the week, she'd be better if Helena died in the movie
I watched the film and thought it was great, a moving and satisfying sendoff for a legend of cinema. Those aren't bots those are people who've actually seen the movie, the real bots are the outrage peddlers selling some wacky persecution complex nonsense about feminism, wokeness, elder abuse, etc., manipulative grifters and sad trolls.
@@roxxx9998 They didn't make Indy a pathetic old man, reality did, Harrison Ford has been a grumpy old codger for years. And what do you mean "without personality", Ford gave a touching and moving final performance that brought rich pathos and sympathy to Dr. Jones, every film in the franchise begins with him at some kind of low point and working his way up out of it. And the ending brought full circle closure on his character, the Raiders throwback to "where DOESN'T it hurt" tugged on the ol' heartstrings and gave him what he always found at the end of every Indy movie before: reconciliation with and a deepened respect for the past and the love that was always the true treasure and reward in his adventures. Did we even watch the same movie?
