"I haven't even gotten to the bit where you kill the milf god" Hearing it from another source makes me realize how freaky I must have sounded explaining the lore.
I’m currently on the last checkpoint in Farewell. Sure, I have about 17 hours and ~6000 deaths in that chapter alone, but so far it’s been doable! :) My best suggestion for Farewell would be to learn and practice extended hyperdashing, extended superdashing, and wavedashing as much as you can. Learn when to use each one and cheese things whenever possible. It’s all just muscle memory. Follow a video guide for every screen if you need to. You got this. This video helped me a lot. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w7OfdXYF4XY.html
I used to agree that the price should be increased, but someone made a really good point that changed my mind. You see most people will see the game, and think it looks kinda cute, but what REALLY drags people in is the cost, a lot of Hollow Knights sales come from people searching out cheap games. From there they get sucked into the game and maybe even the fandom. BUT if it was higher than there would be A LOT less people buying into it (e.g the other people who commented). So honestly I really hope Silksong stays around the $15 mark.
Silksong coming out with in the next 3 decades that's still too generous of a time frame for Team Cherry to meet. We all know the true Silksong release date is 3 years after the heat death of the universe.
@@thesnatcher3616 I know that, it's supposed to be joke (basically, there's this character who wants power and his motive is that he can use it to protect himself and his loved ones, with said character being from a game called Devil May Cry) or DMC for short. Edit: Just realized that you are a person of culture for using a "Hat in Time" character.
Oi Josuke! I had a fortune cookie and my lucky numbers are "4,444", also, now I got this guy shooting bullets at me and saying that 4 is unlucky, pls help me Josuke!
Love the Grimm music you put in the threat/combat related scenes Why yes I am in the Hollow Knight fandom, how could you tell? It absolutely isn't because I could only think about that the entire rest of the video and had to mention it
One sorta indie game you need to check out is Sky: Children of the Light! There's a vague bit of lore behind it, and there's very beautiful colors and landscapes. And the fandom is unbelievably wholesome. The game is free and on mobile. On that, it recently won a Google play award and before that an Apple award!
For the people who are wondering and are smart enough to search comments by newest, but don’t want to waste time going to twitter, According to him, he will be back on May 1st
game fandom in nutshell: *potential r34* potential fanfic *shipping* toxic side big youtuber or small youtuber potential animation potential cringey meme or funni memes potential mods
Here’s a fandom I believe you may get a good idea out of. How about reviewing Titanfall’s fandom seeing as how it’s a triple A game but it’s got a very wholesome and nice fandom compared to most shooter communities
This is my first time ever watching you, and being a superfan of indie games like myself, as well as having really great editing and being super funny, you my friend have just earned a sub. Keep up the great work!
8:12 the mods are already kind of a fan made sequel, principally larger content mods with a lot of lore, so i'm kinda happy with it. and terraria doesnt even really need a sequel, terraria otherworld looked pretty lit tho.
oh yeah there's this mobile indie game called candies n cures and it has beautiful artwork, amazing mechanics, a slightly existing story, and really good enemies and boss fights but the best part is that it's free and doesn't shove ads down your throat, one of the best mobile games i have ever seen *play it right f&!$ing now or else*
Lol that bioshock reference at 2:45 and also loved the grim music being played from hollow knight during the intense pvp match that definitely wasn't one sided and totally wasn't unfair. Looks like youtube recommendations are finally working for smaller channels. This is a hidden gem. You've earned a Sub and a Like maybe this will make the YT algorithm make you appear more who knows? But continue the quality content.
@@oddiemefav1363 as a computer science major 177013 and maths both trigger bad memories and a fight or flight reaction, so no problemo. (Also btw banger video, I really liked your laid back style :) )
I blame team cherry for introducing me to the unhealthy addiction I know as indie games. And I blame indie games for feeding that addiction. No I will not treat this condition. This is permanent.
Other than buying multiple copies I can relate to this to an uncomfortable degree especially the recommending to friends and the "little bit" of lore points
Hey, I just wanna say that your an extremely underrated RU-vid, and I genuinely think that you will become a big youtuber:) (remember me when you hit one million)
4:22 i bought hollow knight for the pc and switch first cuz i wanted this game at my sight every single second and 2 cuz i wanted to support team cherry...
It is one of the only games I consider to be near perfect I genuinely can’t think of a reason someone would not like the game unless they didn’t like metroidvanias in general. The only slight flaw is some of the bosses are mediocre but no game has one hundred percent great bosses and has this many so it isn’t as bad when there are so many great ones.
Since this is no doubt filled with indie game fanatics like myself, I would urge everyone here to play CrossCode. Imagine a Zelda game, but you have a "gun" and it's an action RPG. Loads of fun, surprisingly deep story, fantastic experience.
I have been here since 900 and am so proud that you kept doing this stuff, you inspired me to get off my fat dumpy and try out making stuff again. You also chatted with me from time to time, so you're really in touch with your fans! I'm proud of you, man! Keep doing what you love and take a break if overworked
I was a lot more like this with Aquaria than risk of rain 2, since then I’ve been much more reserved about shoving info down others’ throats. I open up to others’ thoughts when the occasion arises but I really don’t look forward to it too much. Maybe I should, but I’d also like to open up myself to such information as well.
Good indie games most of the time don't start with a huge fandom but it slowly builds and it sticks. And many AAA games get huge Fandom at the Beggining of their publish ment but quickly dissolve.
We need this series to continue with Deep Rock Galactic. It's the single most incredible community I've seen, you can salute after joining a game, reviving an ally, doing something awesome, doing something embarrassing, killing a big enemy, or almost anything else and get a salute back the overwhelming majority of the time. Plus the devs are completely in on the community's behavior and support it, like when we had an escort target that we wanted to bring back to exfil with us, to which they responded by letting us salvage the defense target on escort missions after it was completed. It's perfect for this series.
You're telling me that you *don't* have 3 copies of Celeste, all for the Nintendo Switch, plus an extra copy for every other console it's available on? Just waiting on my Virtual Boy copy.
Hey, that store supported the developer by buying the copies. So i am gonna support that store! Additionally, if a game sells well they are more likely to buy more copies for sale ;)
@@oddiemefav1363 maybe? Idk, i only graduate in small buissnes managment in south america XP, but the US has so manny waky stuff that it may not work there
I just thought about all those rpg maker titles...And the fans of "Off" who seem surprised that fandom is somehow alive, every time when someone makes something related to it
