Man, I must be doing something wrong. I’ve got a 21 g 75 mm fractal frame with these 25k motors on a 450 battery. Diamond AIO, 25 mW VTX and I’m still only getting 2 min flights without any crazy acrobatics. Do you think messing with the ESCs made a big difference for you?
Yes! Bluejay 96khz ESC Firmware (with Motortiming Low) is a gamechanger for high kv motors! And of course BT2.0 Plug and direct to the FC soldered Motors without motor plugs.
Isn't it hard to solder the motors directly to the x12 FC? Did you leave the motor connector pins in the holes and pull off the plastic? I'd rather solder to the pins
@@chrisbee5481 Yes, it's really not easy! The pads are very small. But if you solder the cable on the right pad shifted to the right and on the left pad shifted to the left, you have enough space in the middle (that's how I did it). But it's not easy that's true. It takes practice and a few tries. You can also try as you described, but be warned, when removing the plastic, I've already blown off a smd component next to the plastic. In other words, this technique is also not without danger and requires practice. It's best to practice on an old board first. And also when unsoldering the plug you have to be extremely careful that the solder does not flow to the smd components. There is very little space on this board.
