I think I figured out how Eugene's power works: It's a form of psychic projection. Kinda like the junk psychics in inFamous 2(?). Basically he uses the screens as a conduit to project psychic images (in this case the angels and demons). They're not /solid/, unless it's like.. supercharged /dust/ or something. Either way, the core of it psychic projection + a conduit (no pun intended).
tyrant351 No, because all conduit powers are a form of matter. I.e. Neon is a gas and Concrete being solid. It's also in the games lore if you dig deep enough. It says something about conduits being able to control a form or material of matter. Digital powers, in this case, are a physical thing. Hence why you hit the Angels with your smoke and neon. If they were made of dust, like you said, then your powers would be useless. Another piece of evidence to prove that the digital powers are solid is your melee weapon. They physically hit enemies and other objects even knocking them back. Same thing with the wings.
@@PariahReign yeah i assume it's like an electron / photon based physical construction. Think Green Lantern's powers. I think Eugene's conduit element is just a more photon specific electricity basically like Cole's powers of electricity in the original infamous. I assume their powers are related mainly because not only are the sources kind of Similar (electricity + electronics) but one of the sources of the video power you can absorb in the game is a store called "mcgrath's" which is an easter egg reference to Cole's last name
The hardest one was honestly the mini boss from the Bridge. Eugene just takes long to defeat and I also defeated him without dying once. You could also argue that the first time you fight Augustine was also pretty hard.
Honestly I feel like Eugene doesn’t understand the full potential of his powers i mean all he needs is a screen like your phone or tv or computer and he can trap you in a virtual world of his own making or favorite video game and he can make a army of holograms of any video game or really anything he can go invisible he can hack even better thanks to his powers that literally take him inside of the internet he can turn into a giant angel or really any video game or movie character because it’s a hologram he can even fly and he has so much potential and honestly in my opinion video is the second strongest super power first being electricity from Cole
Instead of moving yourself forward when you went inside the beam of light you couldn't be patient enough to actually go higher and higher to then use your neon power to elevate after that? People seriously don't want to be patient, it's always speed, speed, speed!
Here's my ranking for the boss fights in this game. Hank: really gets the adrenaline going and you learn how to effectively use the melee attack. It's nothing special, but it's pretty good for a starting boss Fetch: Although i like her character, her boss fight is the weakest. You just chase her, drain neon signs and shoot her. It was pretty disappointing, although the boss fight was somewhat difficult on my 1st play through. The big dup agent: this was a fun one because you have to juggle between dodging and fighting against this powerful giant. The difficulty is also pretty reasonable. Eugene: in my opinion, the best boss fight in the game, besides the 2nd Augustine fight. Getting transported in Heaven's Hellfire and fighting this enormous giant is so fun and I loved doing this boss fight. If only there was a boss rush mode. 1st Augustine fight: it's very cathartic to see Augustine getting the shit kicked out of her because she killed Reggie. 2nd Augustine fight: tied with the Eugene fight. Her 2nd phase in the boss fight shows how powerful of a Conduit she is by taking concrete and making a creature that she can control. It's up there with the Eugene fight because fighting something exponentially bigger than you is intimidating, but fun.
Fetch was a nice boss fight for me. The chasing was alright but the fight was better due to how much of a bitch she was! Her fields and precise shooting made it annoying admittedly but was a nice fight nonetheless due to the challenge. This fight was honestly annoying. Oh wow you run around in an arena having to waste your big moves shooting a guy who keeps taking huge amounts of your health easily. Wasn't a fun fight but it visually looked great to me. Tl;dr Fetch over Eugene any day
I liked this battle. It was a little too easy if you use the R1 attacks at his head and shoot the angels when he turns into them. The lava doesn't hurt you much. The final boss was easy. Battling the concrete oaf when crossing the bridge was harder than all the bosses.
shit wasn't easy for me. I mean I only died I think once or twice but it was frustrating as hell for some reason took long as time. The final boss was easy for sure though I died once, but once I realized simply jump over spam dodge repeat it was over quickly. Now that Concrete oaf was hard as shit I was trying to conceal my Neon Powers....yeah smoke was doing jack shit against him had to switch it up eventually and those shields damn I agree
Not trying to be mean or rude but this guy/girls needs to learn the controls a little better. But aside from that great graphics, game, story and fighting.
maybe you should a red wig and a old trenchcoat and start calling you Augustine. maybe next halloween... I dont think there is going to be a next halloween for him :(
@@parry3439 you know you're right but I guess my issue is the first game's 3 bosses just felt more distinct and memorable for how they were done than the 2nds; and all of those in the 2nd are crammed in the last part of the game

Yes it was the hardest... Fetch was just chasing and beating..... Augustine was Dodging... But EUGENE... THAT DAMN LAVA AND ALL THAT FUCKING JUMPING... IT TOOK ME 15HRS TO COMPLETE EUGENE BUT I DID AUGUSTINE IN 1 HR..
this guy really seems to take his time fighting this boss, I beat this guy pretty fast, WITHOUT dying. its not that hard, now Augustine's battle is a different story, it takes quite a while to beat her. I mean the last battle, but all her battles take quite a bit of time.
@@bazplayzyt6207 yeah Augustine was honestly a lot easier than I expected. It was only "hard" because we just got Concrete and we only could use the core relay to enhance our powers. 4 damn times....
If I had Eugene's powers, then I would totally use it to bring every awesome character in the Naruto series to life. Both the good guys and the bad guys, all under my command. And I would turn myself into the Nine Tailed Fox when fighting in person.
You could make whatever you wanted. And with our digital age, youd be near unstoppable. And a nerd with this kind of power....Lord knows how strong theyd be. Countless books, games, movies as inspiration to make their constructs.

This boss fight is so easy when you have laser focus and photon jump because when the angels are his shield it will go in slow motion and you could shoot them easily
as someone who is actually kinda bad at shooters I had an easier time with this boss than I did with Fetch. "Suddenly angel-demon thing above a lava pit" was epic though.
At 15:55 he beats the demon, but the demon has full life shown in his power bar, how did the demon lose this fight? Or how did Second son win? It never actually shows him defeating the demon.
I took so long in this boss fight the first time around since I insisted on using my Basic Range shots (Neon Beam and Smoke shot). Later on I realised I was better off using my missiles, recharging, then using missiles again
This was so annoying. I felt like a cheater after finally winning this. I was just hanging on the wall and smashed R2. Took ages but I wasn't able to win this stupid boss the right way"
