So much work and passion put in your videos once again and it shows! Keep up the awesome content! A devilish war tank was the last thing I’d think of for D&D, but I welcome it! Can’t wait to display it on my shelf.

Great review once again, Theo! This piece is not really for me as it feels too Mad Max-y and modern (especially the tracks), but I will buy one with my case for a friend of mine who collects WH40K - he will make a nice Ork battle wagon from this with some weapons. Btw, I do wish this came with weapons, as was originally rumored. I take it you will review the set as well soon? Really looking forward to it. I opted to purchase it from a slovakian site as they are cheaper than Tritex, but they will ship only in October. But due to all the Baatezu, Tanar'ri and Yugoloths in the set, this promises to be my favourite set yet. :)

Yeah, we were really hoping that it would be customizable in some way too. Indeed, this would work great in War Hammer 40K game. When we played the Adventure League Avernus game it felt VERY Mad Max-y. I didn't think I would dig it, but, well, it was an exciting change of pace from your typical D&D game. Even low level and non-combat-specced characters to get behind the cannons and wreck things. Yes, we'll have the set review up this week. Our local game store had a snafu and won't get our case in until tomorrow. We're prepping the audio today to turn the video around as quickly as possible. I can't wait to get my hands on these figures! They look great! -Theo

@@TheGallantGoblin Hopefully it can easily be modded to add ports where various weapons could be installed on. I honestly think it would have worked better if the rear end was open-top with a tower where you could put the minis on, like with the Elephant from WDH.

Yeah, agreed. If I were designing it I would have done it a bit differently. Places to add modifications and platforms outside for the minis to stand on, where they were manning the various weapons. That would add a lot of fun to gameplay. It's a beautifully crafted thing, but I wanted to see more "gameplay" added to it. Maybe there will be some creative mods to it by the community. -Theo

I have to say, they really dropped the ball on this one. The mini looks really cool in it own right, of course. But there is so much they could have done with this and for whatever reason they just didn't.

Some of the folks at Wizards did say that since Avernus is a separate plane independent of the Forgotten Realms, they were more willing to introduce more modern or untraditional elements to it. In theory Avernus also connects to Eberron and Ravnica and even Spelljammer if they ever bring that back, all of which are settings that do allow for war machines. That said, the book does have “Baldur’s Gate” in the title, haha. -Grady

It's definitely pricey. While the war machines appeared a lot in the previews, it's probably best to wait for the adventure to come out if you're unsure how much use you'll get out of it. Using these for combat would probably play more like Attack Wing than a standard D&D battle grid. -Grady
