Coolant flush. Radiator Bleeder how to use it to ensure you have no air bubbles when flushing the coolant system on your VQ Motor.
How to flush a coolant system in your car DIY. How to fill coolant in car. Keep your radiator, heater core, and engine clean. Flushing your coolant is good for the cooling system to prevent rust and to stop your car from overheating. Engine cooling system flush and antifreeze fill, the easy way.
I show you the location of the bleeder air relief plug, which is a screw in the back of the engine bay for the radiator on a G35 or 350z.
I love RU-vid and decided instead of consuming, I wanted to start creating! So please subscribe and I'll do my best to create the most entertaining and helpful videos possible for the G35.

For any current 35 owners don’t attempt to do a radiator flush or any hose replacement if you don’t have a coolant system refill kit , chances are you can bleed it by the bleeder valve but will take you all day if not 2 , but at the end of the day there will always be air in the system if not vacuumed out

After I did my swap I had such an issue bleeding my coolant system the air would not come out till I had this brilliant idea. I took one of those hand pumps put the hose on the overflow tube come out with the other hose in the gallon of antifreeze and kept pumping and pumping till I knew for sure no air was coming out the bleeder valve. I kept getting air to the point it blew apart my bleeder valve. They break easy. If you need a bleeder valve you can use a piece that comes in the Preston coolant flush kit at Walmart works mint

Hey man this was a very awesome video my car was overheating suddenly so I decided to replace the thermostat and it was still over heating then I replaced the radiator and still over heating then I followed your instructions and the overheating went away. I believe either the thermostat or the radiator was bad but I guess I didn’t bleed it properly right after I replaced both of the parts but anyways my car has a new thermostat and new radiator now after 100k miles which is good cause they will go bad eventually but if it wasn’t cause of your video I would have probably replace the water pump or something else so thank you very much.

@@augustarellano197 My overheat issue was due to radiator fan. If you can't feel it moving air when your looking down at the fan it is likely the cause. I was getting good readouts on my thermostat so quickly rules that out. Radiator fan is pretty common cause of overheating behind thermostat.

Question...so my friend and I replaced the radiator and fluids and bleed it. I don’t remember if we went to the bleeder valve. Well...is it normal to have the radiator fluid reservoir tank filled PAST Max capacity? The thing is...I never filled it past Max ever. Thanks

Its a pain checking the bleed valve over and over, I do mine with a "no spill" funnel from the front radiator cap to bypass this problem. It mitigates having to constantly open and check the bleed valve. No air in the line either because the consistent fluid kept it tye funnel is gravity feed from the highest point on the engine. Just a future tip. My water pump is still clean never changed it

just recently my 07 g35x sedan started getting hot while sitting with a/c on or off. sometimes even while driving especially if i rev while parked.and i noticed fluid dripping on the floor.. when i opened the hood my reservoir was completely backed up and full. but all week it look like it's been emptying with me constantly having to put fluid in every few days.. any ideas?

How does it release air if both caps are on?

Just did this on an 06 350z and yeah it is a pain right? Only thing I did differently is I actually poured coolant into the bleeder valve at first very slowly and then after putting cap back on I started up and revved it and the. Waited for the fan to kick on and then I slowly loosened the valve while it was running I believe and waited for the hissing to go away before taking it off completely. The whole time I was scared as shit I was gonna have coolant shoot up into my face but it never did and thankfully this way saved me a lot of time. Took about 5-7 times of this way but I didn’t have to open the radiator cap.

Interesting how even when you show people exactly how to do something according to the facory service manual, they decide no I am doing it my way. You are not the only one, but you are the only 1 who suceeded doing it different. People are funny. They do it differently than as instructed in this video and then take the time to message me asking why it didn't work for them?

I just changed out my thermostat and when I poured back in the coolant I still have a good amount left over that didn’t go in but the radiator is full and the breather cap in the back is already filled up also , but my car started to overheat

Every time that you rev it and check the coolant , do you keep flushing it out or are you just topping off every time until it comes out of the bleeder valve ?

Topping it off. You would quickly figure out the other way is impossible. You are not draining fluid out of the system, you are getting the air out.

I don’t think letting your engine warm up before adding coolant is the best idea
