Answering the question: I think what makes your interviews so compelling is how you guys interact with each other. The interviews have this uniqueness to them; it’s kinda hard to describe. Josh is the interviewer and Sav shouldn’t know him but I guess the ironic thing is that she does and it shows. So there’s this dynamic between you guys that just can’t be replicated. It’s just different, genuine, and captivating.
Your interviews are so captivating because it shows your personalities so much more & even just the chemistry between you two. You both are just so hilarious and genuinely so entertaining. honestly ive never seen interviews done the way you guys do them - like Sav said, u guys act like strangers, so it adds a huge sense of comedy in them. even if it was a first time viewer watching, they can easily figure out yall are actually married so seeing u guys pretend to be "strangers who flirt" and then the mix with jokes is just perfect. even if u took that piece away, u guys just execute the interview really well, it feels like a modern comedy q&a

The one benefit of showing your kids as a creator is that ppl KNOW what your child looks like, so if they're seen with a stranger you have a large community backing you.
To answer the interview question, I would agree with Sav that I’ve never seen that done before in the way you guys do it! Also a lot of the creators I follow have also started doing them and they give you guys credit like Taylor and Soph! I think what makes yours unique is that you obviously know each other, but pretend in a cutesy way that you don’t know each other. And I think it’s fair to say you’ve started the trend because I’ve never seen it done with couples or pregnant women until after you guys started going viral for it, it’s usually single men seeking out women like the “kiss or slap” or “rate me” interviews. I’ve never seen an interview with the point of focus you guys have. Plus your energy is just so authentic and unique and it makes it special in its own way. ❤️
I feel like what’s captivating is the cadence in the way yall talk to each other during the interviews. Which is also why I feel like your podcast are also captivating bc there’s a flow or chemistry between you too that is just natural and effortless! *chefffsss kiss*
Josh admiring his wife while she is sleeping spells love to me. SAV failed to see the love and adoration in their eye, wakes up seeing Josh and Starlie looking at her, asking , "Can I help y'all?" Is so funny and a Sav adorable moment. I love Sav's story telling sessions she adds flavor making it more interesting. In defense of Riella, she is an adorable toddler, she is inquitive, energetic and normal let her be, just love, nuture, and protect her, as she examines her environment and learns. Josh it is not about who is the breadwinner but respect and valuing each other. I was the breadwinner but my wife is the heart of our household. She was is a stay at home mom. She is Chief Operating Officer, Chief Finance Officer and Human Resources Officer, while I am Security Officer and Contracting Officer. At times she leads and I follow and at other times I lead and she follows. We each have our strengths and weaknesses and we capitalize on them as a team. Your interviews are funny and touching because of your personalities. SAV rings true and the way she flips the script on you during the interviews makes it touching/endearing to me.
For the answer you need at josh for me when i first saw it i was like what is this? Then it got me hooked yall have chemistry an spark but i got addicted because it let me gwt to know sav. An creators forget they know each other but we do not. It helped me to get to know sav an you. Then i became addicted to watching wanting to learn more. An the final part for me was the humor the smiles an silliness. Made yall both vunerable guards down an humor is something everyone needs an i love. An the last part is the answers seem real if others do it which i havent seen that do but when they do ask questions just seems fake overly perfect an not real. I think the interviews did so well because of the way it was done. You clearly knew eachother, clearly had that comfortability with eachother but the whole sketch of ‘not knowing eachother’ and sav flirting with her husband and josh is like ‘I’m not your husband’ it gave it humour and but also you could see the love and jokes you have between you ❤️❤️
This is so interesting! I never would’ve guessed that Sav makes more since Josh has been on staff and had other “regular” jobs. You two should interview Stevie & Sazan Hendrix to talk about these things! Steve was the man behind the influencer curtain for a long time but now they’re both influencers in their own right and they have a podcast and book deal. Plus they are an interracial couple as well. That interview would be full of GOLD!
Before even watching this, I'm the breadwinner between my husband and I. My husband loves it. He works from home part-time. Im also super excited to keep the draft. Josh sure did start a trend!! For the interviews, I felt it was unique because yall know each other and a lot of times people dont interview the pregnant lady. Its interesting to see different questions being asked. Your banter is unmatched.

I think y’all are great! One of my favorites out there. You created a trend, a great trend. If people are following your trends, is it stealing or is that joining in on your trend? What makes you both unique is that you’re a young, married, followers of Christ that actually enjoy each other. You created an Avenue that allows the follower to get to know the creator.
I think for me with sharing my kids on social media is that, posting a picture or video can be harmless. But sharing their favorite toys, interest, things they like/don’t like is a no. I would never want someone to bribe/hurt my children based off something I posted about them.

I think I'm understanding what Josh is saying Save makes more money but in your business her type period makes more money. I hadn't seen anyone else doing the interview but lets face it there is nothing new under the sun but your personalities do make the difference. People repeat dances, hauls, music, movies, make-up how to books, décor, etc. It's the personal Twist that sells or attracts a new audience. The interviews were good and the subjects could be on anything now that you're not pregnant. I saw the movie Sound of Freedom and the theatre was PACKED! I understand what Sav is saying that she is not simply the breadwinner alone. Josh is Sav's influencer and support that gives her the foundation to do what she does. This is marriage, a good marriage that is also a business via social and emotional bond. I hope more young people watch them and obtain a better understanding of marriage and not that other junk we see from other content creators.

Josh, I believe the desire in you - in regards to your hypothetical scenario about staying home and Savannah working - is a natural God given desire. As a believer, I personally don’t think the man should ever be the stay at home dad / let the wife be the sole provider without contributing. It’s a women’s main role to nurture and home make (generally speaking) and a man’s main role to protect and provide. It’s in our natures. It’s not a society thing, It’s a God thing. I do think that society has made it look like it has to be one way (I.e 9-5), which is the issue. And it’s so cool because y’all have stepped outside the box and made It work in a creative way. Of course women can also earn (ie the Proverbs 31 women is a boss!) and men can nurture… it’s not about being legalistic. But It’s about the familial order that God ordained. God put Adam to work in the garden because it was good. I don’t think it’s natural for a man to not work and just focus on home making and child raising. “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” I Timothy 5:8 “the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things- that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.” Titus 2:3-5 Be blessed! Edit: I don’t care what anyone says, you guys definitely created the specific material of “interviewing your spouse”. The way that y’all have created the interview material has stood out, and has been different compared to any other “interview” videos. Specifically because of the “stranger” aspect of the interview that you’ve used. Obviously you both know each other (you’re spouses) - but when you put it the way that you’ve done it, it makes the video stand out. I’ve seen the interview idea done by other couples that are creators, AFTER y’all have been doing it. So essentially you’re creating something so authentic, that other creators are now wanting to hop of the trend.
okay josh to answer your question, i agree with ms. jean over there. Take away y’all’s banter ,goofiness and overall personality. What made the interview’s different than everyone else and why they can’t even attempt it is, 1.) yall do know each other 2.) sav stayed herself while josh took on a whole other character, he wasn’t josh he was said character name. Which just made the whole dynamic different. Because for me at least thats how i discovered yall, it was those interviews, but when i first saw them i was confused on if you were just a family friend or really was the babys father 😂😂 i just kept watching more and once i got the shtick 😂 i loved it and yall. It showed a lot about yall, rather just a husband interviewing his pregnant wife/ gf like the rest of the influencers.
I am 28 and husband is 40 and has RA. We are about to have our 3rd child in 6 weeks. We will have 3 kids under 10 years old. I work at full time while my husband stays home. My husband pays the majority of the bills while I pay the mortgage and 1 car payment this way he feels needed in our relationship and still holds the key to our lives. Ideally he would love to work and I would love to be home teaching our children but God had other plans and for now what we both do works for us so I hope this gives you both some insight that the world puts a stereotype out there but trust me, God is so good and His plans and ways are so perfect! 🥰🥰♥️

hi guys! I an finally catching up on all the episodes (two toddlers make it hard to get past 10 minutes 😂) and I found something that you said interesting and wanted to ask you about it. I mean no harm or to be hostile but you basically implied that being a sahd would prevent you from reaching your goals and I beg to differ. as a sahm there is a lot of work that goes into it as I’m sure y’all know but I believe that you can still pursue your dreams as well. it may look differently but I believe the wife could still go out and pursue her passions/dreams while a dad can stay at home and do the same (depending on what the goal is). something I’ve found a passion for is teaching my children. I homeschool and I have a special love for it and I work for a nonprofit that helps moms and eventually want to make income from social media to talk about Christian parenting. while my husband (preacher/musician) pursues his goals outside the home as well. it’s definitely harder but it’s important for both parents to pursue their goals as well and not be lost in being parents and it’s possible being at home too. First of all; y’all definitely set the tone on them interviews…y’all’s style and how it wasn’t premeditated kinda set the pace for how it’s supposed to come across and because it was so originally done people want to emulate what y’all do. Yall totally started that trend but I think that’s just what social media does; someone does something that’s funny or cool then everyone tried their hand at it, it’s just fun but y’all definitely do the interviews the best haha. Sometimes I cringe at other peoples attempt cause it’s just SO obvious they’re trying to be like y’all, which is fine like y’all said but it’s just like oooooook hahaha. Second. Josh your editing skills MAKES the content and draws people to yall and I think you have more of a hand in bringing in the dough then you realize. I’m a sahm and it is so isolating and so lonely. I have no community which makes it even harder. And it’s not because I don’t want community because I absolutely DESIRE that but it’s so hard to find. My mental health has been struggling so much lately because of it and also not to mention I’m pregnant currently with twins. It’s hard to not want to just fall into depression and just shut everyone out including God and my husband because of just pure frustration. I know God will work things out but in the thick of it it I’m feeling so down and out.
Y’all need to go see the movie. Seriously. It’s a super well done movie. I used to work with human trafficking victims, and it’s so real. People think it’s fake, and they’re trying to hide this movie, but y’all. It’s real. Please go see it before it leaves the theaters because it’s not going to be streaming anywhere.
