Good news everyone. The Nexus editors have joined up on Maxroll and updated all their class guides as of yesterday. So hopefully Maxroll will continue to be up to date. I dig the new layout, it's a bit more condensed I think, along with being engraving separated.
I use guides as... a guide. Not a rule, not a law, not a way I have to build. I feel that is loss on some people. It's pretty fun when there's many options for personalization to a class since you get to try to find what you feel best with. But it's weird how some people loss the point of a guide. That being said, I'm grateful to all those who spend the time making guides and adjusting them as time goes by. It definitely helps, and it makes it easier to digest for many. Pretty sure you can appreciate this comparison being a fighting game enjoyer as well, but I think of how I'd use combo videos to give me ideas of what I could do practically, even if I can't reasonably do the optimal combos. Just like that, these guides ought to just give people ideas of where to look and what to try to fit you. If I'm gonna drop the optimal combos cause the timing is too tight, I'll try something else that I'm comfortable with.
I just wish the engravings (and other systems) to provide more variety in the way we play. I think that would be much more exciting. Sure there is still a "best build" for every class but having the option to invest into an alternate route to provide something else feels much better for players like me i feel like.
