At Canada Cup 2018, Initial T beat last year's champion Dogura in the top 8 of Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 with a steering wheel controller. I got to interview him.

As someone who's primarily played using a computer keyboard and used to play piano, it's honestly not too unreasonable. It might actually be better than a computer keyboard because all the buttons are the same size so there's no issues with weird distance differences.

I'm not gonna lie, I was fully invested in the story...until I saw he wasn't turning the wheel. It's literally just a controller stuck on a wheel. It's still impressive and unwieldy and cool, but it just takes away so much of it when you realize it's just a pad on a wheel....like learning how a magic trick is done.

I can imagine using 3 white keys for left, down, right and a black key for up. Then use the right hand side of the piano for the buttons in the game. You could even have traditional 6 buttons with punches on black, kicks on white.

ACTUALLY HOLD UP big brain time, the steering wheel might be top tier for charge characters like Guile or Remy cuz like with the hitbox you can charge moves by having the wheel turned back but inputting a forward so you can walk forward and throw sonic booms.

Hey Core A great video you are one of the best channels ever. One question, I really like fighting games but I’m really bad at execution any tips? I kinda just move the stick around and it sometimes works. I play on pad btw.

Practice your motion inputs with input display on so you can see your mistakes. Also, there are some games without motion inputs these days.

Core-A Gaming the only fighting game I have is street fighter 4 arcade edition but I hope to get dragonball fighterZ. Follow up, should I use the D pad or the stick? I am more comfortable with dragon punch inputs with the D pad but quarter circle with control stick. Thanks so much!
