@vinchenzo678 aye, was always a 5yr plan. Sadly, without the cartel-enforced FFP, we could probably do a mass overhaul fairly quickly, but limited to 2-3 significant signings a summer means we're forced to stick with the longstaffs/dummetts to fill out the squad
It's not an injury crisis it's an Eddie Howe crisis. Just look at his injury record when he was at Bournemouth. They had one of if not the highest numbers of injuries in the league. The question is why does Eddie Howes teams always have a higher than normal rate of injuries? Is it his training regime?
I think Howe inherited the worst first 11, but the best squad we've had. then bought some good players. Rafa made them all look decent. But he's over trained them and coerced them into risking their own bodies for a first 11 pick. if he was a great manager he'd play the squad players more and have tactics to grind out points. you've right Dummet was stone cold for form. I don't blame him.
He could have brought me or you on. We know you probably aren't allowed to drag players to the ground in the VAR era. But he's a positive influence around the dressing room apparently, so all is forgiven.
@@CDCD23-25 Murphy? Yes, back in preseason. He could definitely offer more energy and physicality and the whole argument that Dummett's experience would avoid stupid mistakes is kinda out the window isn't it?
What terrifies me is the thought of selling isak and picking up someone like solanke or bruno and replacing him with connor gallagher. Surely I'm living a nightmare.
Dummett doesn’t need to punch himself up; he just need to kindly refuse the extension of his contract and leave at the end of this season. His time is going to be officially over after today.
You’re lucky I’m a Luton fan and we have 14 injured players Last night we had two goalkeepers on the bench and academy players Our disappointment is when we get relegated we will die wondering Our club is small on revenue but huge on heart and determination
If only we had a transfer window to get people in the door in case we had injuries.. oh wait we did and didn’t bother. Yes we couldn’t spend loads but a loan or 2 we would be ok now. Whoever decided not to in January needs sacking.
We were beaten by the MOM quite rightly Pickford got that award. If we had won 1-0 he quite rightly would have got MOM. We were beaten by the fact that our squad is so depleted that we started (rightly so ) with players who haven’t got near 50 mins under their belt. One could also say we had two points taken off us by a team that continues to play in the prem despite having been involved with irregularities having been allowed to continue to play in the prem over two seasons affecting teams which have been relegated and tonight a team trying to scramble into Europe despite the squad being so depleted and not being allowed to strengthen their squad. Everton could bring on three subs who are good enough for the prem but how when they are facing a point deduction.
Hes been a shadow of last seasons player. Lethargic, lacking sharpness. Takes 10 minutes to realise hes received the ball. Passes behind players. Really bad form.
Any talk of selling any of Wor best players is ridiculous before we get rid of some of the not so good. If one thing this season has done it is that we have too many players in the squad that just aren’t up to the required standard & certainly aren’t going to help push us to that ‘next level’.
I blame the coach for the overall team formation. The year of European football did fail to get the overall team strength. We end up of poor bench quality today’s and many times even during European games. It’s a disgrace
The fact we had no bench and a few of the players who started are not match fit, dictated the game was gonna change when they made subs. I never felt like they were gonna score even though i knew one goal wouldnt be enough as we cant keep clean sheets
Summed up in two words Frustration and Injuries! We still should’ve cruised to 3 points but for a moment of utter stupidity! Saturday becomes a must win now with Spurs to follow
@@CDCD23-25 Exactly we’re talking about ffp and how close we are going over the mark, wasting money on the likes of him, chris wood and obviously the whole tonali situation has simply cost us big time
Awful result. Should have been three points but thrown away by having a bench that is weak. Get the injuries but we need to find a way around the FFP issues and selling Longstaff will be a good start.
The players looked short of energy, not surprising after running themselves into the ground at the weekend. A match like that against West Ham is just as emotionally draining as it as physically but with a bare bones squad there was no option but to buckle up and go again. If Luton lose at Arsenal tonight we can't be relegated and only need 3 points to be totally free of it anyway. Given the present injuries there is really only league position to play for now.
Someone please ask WHY WE HAVE SO MANY INJURIES?? It’s got past bad luck - over training and poor medical decisions are likely the root of this, yet Eddie gets a free pass because of our ‘bad luck’
Keith, howay man.the club had the chance to get rid of league one level wasters like dummett two years ago and didn't bother. now we might have to keep him because of eddie howe's fitness regime resulting in our players getting acl injuries. time to ask Howe if he knows what he's doing
