I live in Pittsburgh and I'm getting a tattoo by Sarah Miller in Sept. I can't wait!! I met her 2 yrs ago while being tattooed by another artist at her shop. She was really nice!
Tony is a local hero. Everyone here wants work from his shop and every artist between 30 and 37 knew who he was before Ink Master. I was a grade below his and in a different school and still heard when he started pushing his art.
I loved Sarah Miller and would get a tattoo from her - but not on Ink Master. I think the pressure of the competition didn't bring out her best - she would vary from amazing to "huh?". Without the pressure and time limit, I think she is one of the best in the country. I always rooted for her.

If Sarah’s personality on the show is her actual personality, then I’m honestly surprised she has done well. She is so abrasive and frankly, rude. Her bedside manner, at least on the show, is beyond atrocious. Not at all a person I would want to tattoo me. Halo was definitely one of the ones I liked. I keep forgetting he is technically “local” to me with being in the DMV area. Also didn’t realize Matti was as close to the DMV metro-area as he is.
Sarah is autistic and was undiagnosed at the time. As a result of her non-diagnosis she developed a lot of anxiety issues that led to outbursts. Since then, she has been diagnosed and received appropriate anxiety treatment and therapy and is able to navigate the world better with her autism. Unfortunately her passion (hyper fixation) for art, was misrepresented on the show as “insanity” and knowing what we know now about her, it also comes across as rather insensitive…

I'm surprised Sarah Miller went on to have a successful career with how jarring, destructive and downright psychotic her personality was on the show and how she treated others. Not to mention she got extremely defensive during any critiques, I wouldn't work with her in a million years lol.
She’s autistic and was undiagnosed at the time. As a result of her non-diagnosis she struggled with anxiety and outbursts and of course meltdowns. The show naturally decided to capitalise on that and portray her as “crazy.”
I hate how people judge someone's entire character because of what they saw on an overly edited and fake reality TV show. Sarah was never psychotic, but she has problems relating and forming social relations with people because she's on the spectrum, and she also couldn't regulate her facial expressions very well at the beginning so she comes off as being angry and mean when she isn't. She's a driven person and a very talented artist, so she deserves everything she got. She grew so much as a person since the first time she was on the show.
