Good suggestion Tony. The stand alone tool has been on my wish list, but I like this set because it will fit more vehicles.

That’s a quality inner tie rod tool right there, but I’m biased. 😉

I was looking at that tool a few years ago, but found people saying that the adapters wear out and are considered consumable items by Matco. Confirmed that with my dealer. I went with the u bolt style for about $20 instead. It works on round and hex. Also takes up very little room in my cart. I was skeptical how long it would hold up, but I've put some serious torque on it on some red thread lock covered inner tie rods to break them loose and it's been good.

That is a very cool tool! I'm a drifter and always going through tie rods lol. I was looking at picking up the PWZ1 Snap-On and now i need this too!

The only one I found with all the sizes I needed is the HF tool. As far as clearance I havent done enough cars to know if its an issue. Key feature I like is it can lock onto the rod end. In true HF fashion the lock is a little funky. It comes with the following adaptors. SAE: 1-3/16 in., 1-1/4 in., 1-5/16 in., 1-7/16 in.; Metric: 14mm, 17mm, 33.6mm

I bought the HF tool. It has all the sizes. It also locks in place and takes a 1/2 breaker bar.

I have the inner tie rod tool that looks like an exhaust clamp,it works very well.For $20.00,not bad at allAlso have the master inner tie end tool kit is a Matco set which is a rebranded Lisle set

Harbor freight sells an inner tie rod tool, bought that today. Haven't tried it out yet
