Daniel Kim did an amazing job at the Jogo character acting, plus Kaito Tomioka was MVP for that Gojo domain expansion run.

I guess so, but the sliding bit looks quite awkward, that's the point I was trying to make. It's a weirdly constructed shot, the people move in a completely different manner in the original layout. I did forget about normal people not being able to see curses...

but the scene would go 11/10 if it showed Jogo pushing these people out of the way without them realizing what happened and being confused

I'm thinking the Dagon fight will suffer the most. It's the only fight we saw none of in the trailer and also probably the least important. In terms of emotional stakes at least.

@@mrprotoman154nah the dagon fight is definitely important cuz it was the fight to push maki, nanami, and naobito, as well as a big moment for fushigoro and most of all, the actual reintroduction of toji. Too much happened in that fight for it to just be pushed aside.

Not really episode 4 had great storyboards , geto vs toji fight was great , only example of underwhelming even no. episode is ep 8

@@johnatello_267 no ep 2 was underwhelming, 6 was fairly a bit underwhelming and 8 was obvious although they looked exactly they should have and as for ep 4 it pissed of some toxic mangareaders it was an spectacular ep tho

To be fair, as someone else in the comments pointed out, they can't actually see the curses. But still, yeah, they can see the people around them getting killed in horrific ways, I do understand them not being able to animate the crowd tho.

I did do some research, apparently the temp needs to be below 45°f for your breath to be visible, and it doesn't get that cold in shibuya during the month of October.

It's something we came up with, idk if it's an actual term, but basically a frame (drawing), generally a close up which is very close to the character design and/or very well drawn in general. A drawing which is proportionally accurate, with well executed lines and curves. A very good drawing, basically.

He is series director. He has to overlook everything related to all episodes. He don't have that much time to direct many episodes aside from storyboard.

Thats the problem with “majority” of these “ SHONEN “ fights. ( Too much self explaining and pointless dialogue.. it takes away the flow/pace of the action sequences). Some shows have dialogue but only a “few” know how to execute it perfectly to the point where it’s “ dialogue “ but the “ dialogue “ isn’t cheesy and it’s “ shit talking “ and it flows well with the action. Nowadays you don’t even feel the emotions out of the fights because the Choreography isn’t that elite. Keep in mind “ not every show “ shows backstories in the midst of the action sequences because “ once again “ it kills the FLOW. You can’t go to a party and the dj playing fast music then slow music after like wtf. If you understand what I’m saying. These “ fights “ in my honest opinion isn’t really fights. It’s just a small “ hey wassup “ and bounce. You can’t really be immersed the way you want 2. Overall, I respect the staff behind it of course…great stuff. W episode 1. Mob Psycho Shimazaki fight 2. Fog Hill of the Five elements 3. Saitama vs Boros 4. Fate Stay Night UBW All fights 5. Naruto vs sasuke final valley 6. Kakashi vs Obito 7. Madara vs Shinobi alliance 8. Fate Apocrypha All Fights 9. Denji vs Kantana man “ Train “ I can go on but highly recommend if you didn’t already see it. Imo all of those fights is the execution I’m talking about that we “ rarely “ see in the anime industry today. We get “ information “ but the information we are receiving isn’t “ killing the flow “ of the action sequences.

Actually it’s not even about season 1 it’s just like I would like to have more clear animation and not everything being a blur and less awkward scenes/dialogue feels to much like chainsaw man but the style there going for doesn’t really suit jjk

No movement , standstill frames , just no fluidity whatsoever, it’s literally manga panels with colors because you can’t even see what’s going on. One cut where you see an arm then next 1 second you see a person flying across the building. Like what happened “ in between “ . Good compositing, Strong drawings.

First season had incredible animation but it was still jarring sometimes but this season is having too many fights to have that level of animation consistently not to mention the poor working conditions

​@@JustAsh001there was a lot of jarring moments in s1. Also no one can confirm the schedule (unless sakugaturds on Twitter). Although with how much Resources a typical TV anime Receives and also a typical schedule. Ofc high profile projects with 24 episodes are gonna struggle (also with the Scale of shibuya)

​@@user-og6pb6dd5pI mean yeah I don't know about schedule whether it's good or not but they are doing a fantastic job on s2 not to mention the staff is amazing so they can manage also the less detailed style helps a lot it gives them freedom to do different style of animation without it looking out of place and it hides the inconsistencies as well

Ghosting isn't the fault of MAPPA

Just because it's less details doesn't mean it's not as good season 2 also has better colour pallate, compositing (probably mappa's best yet) more character acting animation and better directing and also not evey fight will have season 1 level of animation because season 2 has way more action so there are gonna be many inconsistencies but overall this season is way better when it comes to animation just look at gojo using blue in ep 3 that alone is better than anything gojo did in season 1
