Hi George and Lucy, I am Kevin from Peterborough in the UK and am on my 3rd visit to the Philippines visiting my girlfriend Dorothy (known as Dory). It was her birthday on Sat 6th April 2019 and as a belated birthday present we are spending 3nts near Manila from tomorrow, Thurs 18th Apr, but more so, I have booked us a table at Spiral Buffet for dinner tomorrow night also. I’m so looking forward to this. I have requested to have a tour around just like yourselves did along with Mike and Nelly. I hope that Nelly feels better soon and her migraine goes. Since your are staying in Manila, please try and visit the historical island fortress of Corregidor Pacific War Memorial. It is just across Manila Bay.. Also try to visit Ayala Museum in Makati which is just across Shangri La Makati to help you have a better understanding of the history and culture of Filipinos. Enjoy your Stay !!!!!

I also think that Spiral is great - quality, flavor, and variety. Next time do go to their spa downstairs. 3,000 pesos for a 30 minute massage or facial. Wonderful!

Spiral definitely is insane! Most expansive buffet I've ever been. I've dined there several times but never could I sample every dish or drink in several sittings. Just too much. 😁

spiral sofitel manila is my all time favorite but expensive. its Worth it for your money, would definitely go back here again when I visit metro Manila. thank you Madam Imelda Marcos for building this for Philippine Plaza Hotel (now SOFITEL HOTEL)

When we stayed at the Sofitel, we decided to order dinner at the pool instead. The service was terrible and we had to wait ages for everything. Even took 20 mins to deliver a beer from the bar that was 15 feet away! Also, the pool was so cold, people were wearing wetsuits. We had breakfast in the Spiral and that was epic. Overall a bit of a mixed opinion of the place.
Technique to truely enjoy the whole buffet is to stay away from carbs and pick the ones that you don't usually eat like the more expensive on the menu, wagyu steak, caviar, cheese, champagne and many more 😋 xxx
That buffet is so beautiful to look at and also that place is huge! 😍 I don't know why I missed seeing u guys at sinulog but I really wish we did :( 😂 and eyyyy we have the same shirt 😍❤💪

i just remember you were given some Green Indian Mangoes... i have some tips about eating them... We normally eat indian mangoes when it is still half ripe and not fully ripe. When the sourness and sweetness is fighting with each other( hahaha!, i dont know if i've described it correctly). We normally eat it by dipping it or topping it with lots of cooked Bagoong Alamang. Bagoong alamang is shrimp paste. The shrimp in Alamang is very small. And you can try to buy the cooked and mildly sweet and spicy Bagoong Alamang in Mall's supermarket. You can try the Barrio Fiesta sweet and spicy. There are other good brands but recently Barrio Fiesta have new variations. Sometimes when i cook fried rice, i use to put some cooked sweet and spicy bagoong alamang and end up with a fried rice that is almost similar tasting as the chowking chao fan rice. Try it, you will surely enjoy it. Bon Appetit!

,wish you guys could also visit the garments capital of the phillipines..taytay,rizal. it's just few hour away from manila can easily be reached by grab,look for taytay tiange. massive stalls/stores of garments made in the phil. and from our town taytay
