keeping it in a garage for 10 years is JUST A WASTE! At least wrapping it blue chrome and driving it around is ACTUALLY ENJOYING THE CAR. The wrap preserves the oem paint as well.
@@AncientCreature-i2oso does the body of an acoustic guitar not make sound only the strings? Obviously exhaust isn’t “making” the sound but it is effecting the sound through reverberation and amplification
@@Ohms_vs_DraaggsWhat they're saying is that in real cars, the exhaust resonates at a very specific frequency designed to make the engine more efficient, and it's relatively quiet when it does this. The loud exhausts you hear is people putting wider exhausts on, making the resonance frequency different (but leaving the engine the same) so now the air output of the engine is competing with the exhaust, and that's what's loud. If you do it right, the exhaust isn't really that loud... except on (VERY) high end cars where even the natural freq is loud, I'm talking 500hp+
@@AncientCreature-i2o Exhausts aplipfy the sound and also changes the pitch and tone depending on the shape, length, width and material of the pipe(s). Engine sound Is different to the sound that comes from the end of the exhaust because It isn't funneled. Sure, the source of the noise comes from the engine but It is a completely different sound by the time it escapes the Exhaust pipe. So therefore, Exhausts Do make sound, But Does not create it.

Super/Hypercars hit different in Japan. I’ve even seen the Bosōzoku and Lambozoku for myself a few times. For a few seconds, the noise of the city vanishes into silence... people stop in shock, terror or hype and can’t believe their eyes. And then it drives by with a rumble, making you feel every single combustion in your bones. With a thunderous exhaust note, it hits the gas and disappears into the silent and paused traffic with blistering speed. A few seconds later the citizens go on as if nothing happens and the city noise returns.... but everyone’s heart beats just a few bpms faster than before.... A truly unique experience and, for a car guy like me, one of the best experiences you can have in Japan. This video managed to capture a piece of this magic.
im a "car guy"... that clk is raped to death.. ugly wrapping, way to loud to sound good. Just a annoying piece of crap, not the former masterpiece it once was...
@@MarcusKuann nah it actually is stock because in other vids when the car is redlined on highways it's loud asf + it was in the city and the car hit like 6k rpm which was almost as high as the rev limit
On my phone, all that sound does is to cause damages to my little speakers. You need to be in front of such a car to truly experience it. Recordings NEVER do these hypercars due
dodoz44 it probably isn't even straight piped. The production models of these cars had huge silencer boxes because it was to loud without them. I think they've just been removed
It was far from perfect. A few of the racing versions crashed in races simply by being driven fast over blind hills. The leading lip of the car's forward aero package would catch the increased mass of air slipping under the front suspension, the car's aerodynamics would lift the car up, and all of a sudden the car would go dozens of feet airborne at 100MPH. Mercedes never fully solved the problem, they simply issued a driver's advice notice about slowing the car at the tops of certain types of crests, and these road versions have the same aero system and effects so it could happen again to any of them.
With the echo and all, it sounds like a monster to me, scary, powerful. Moving slow and full of confidence. A monster that decided to make a low key appearance and remind the world of it's might and that it still exists.
Whenever I see a person who bought a truly special car, and then made it their own... this brings a big smile to my face! Love this car and kudos to the owner on the insane finish!
@Andy MJ jesus was only a prophet and a messenger sent by god, and he didnt want to be crucified which is why he said according to the bible take this cup away from me
Blue chrome is beautiful. CLK GTR is insane. The CLK GTR and the Porsche Carrera GT1 were the competitors for #2 behind the McLaren F1 when I was growing up. It was a wonderful time for cars.
I was next to a clk gtr at a red light in Berlin once. I, in my 93 Corolla waved at the driver like a lil kid of course and this dude straight up looked at me and gave me finger guns. Best day of my Gearhead life.
+On XL Yeah I bet... Awesome piece of technology though, hope fully I'll have the opportunity to see or maybe even touch it haha I own a CLK myself, but damn that thing over there is like from a completely different planet!
2000 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR AMG has recently appeared on Jameslist for just under 1.5 million euros. There is a bargain for you. Just get the loose change out of my pocket; that will do it. 1.5 euros just need a million more pockets :-)
