Adam shares a new addition to his Nostromo crew costume from Alien: stunning handmade crew wings individually embroidered by Adam Ezekiel, a member of the Replica Prop Forum. Adam is gobsmacked by the fidelity of these patches, made in gold and silver to perfectly match the ones on Dallas and Kane's jackets in the film. They're so beautiful they could be displayed by themselves even without being sewn onto a jacket!

I feel a little bit more normal now! When I saw Alien as a teenager I fall in love for the symbols on the doors and walls of the Nostromo! I spent hours drawing any kind of possible symbols for a spaceship! Trying to make all of them square like on the nostromo! Oxygen tanks, escape pod, spacesuits, shwoers, bathroom, rest rooms, kitchen, antennas control rooms! I loved it so much! I always loved symbols! I draw pages and pages of my sketchbook. Now I know there are other people enjoying this things. Thank you Adam

WOW. that is all I can say WOW, that embroidery looks SO GOOD. THIS is what I love about this platform Adam has right now - the ability to elevate the stories of people with methodologies he respects - and that the rest of us respect too of course! - who otherwise wouldn't get as wide an exposure. Man. Alien. You know, when I was little, I apparently loved horror movies. At like three or four years old, I'd watch nightmare on elm street, Friday 13th, texas chainsaw massacre, and the like, and have a blast. (I still love the campy horror movies!) So at some point my mom took me to the movies to see Alien. I still remember being terrified. I was so scared, I was literally shaking. At some point, I bolted out of the theater and just ran towards home. I had nightmares for months. I'm in my 30s now, and I still get panic attacks when I see clips of the original alien. I don't think I'll ever be able to watch the movie. But I still like the dedication that went into these props!

Bullion military wings, rank and unit patches were once quite common, especially on American Officers uniforms in Britain in WW2. They tarnish darkly over time because they're actually metal thread.

I often see a video, that has dislikes, even as few as it has, and I think "what.? what can anyone have possibly disliked about this video?" and all I can chalk it up to is jealously... Wow. Those are amazing! I hand-embroidered my own gold wings for my scratch-built Nostromo crew shirt. They look more like that early version, and they were the most laborious part of the whole project. I was very pleased with them, but after seeing those, now I'm afraid to look at them. :P
