UGG! I can see me geared up for a mission. Only to turn around and see a fire... then I blow up! For no reason. Or I go to my New Hanger, load up my ship and its on fire... Wait? can our ship explode in our new hangers? Also, do they have to make all items a new level of Gold Standard? So they can catch on fire? meaning you could be wearing a suit/helm only to die from a fire in space? I can't help it! New tech doesn't work for a while... or ever.
Introducing more bugs for ships that won’t be fixed in years! “People with poor internet connection may cause desync” so they put a bandaid in place before players test it, however I’m certain there won’t be a any desync problem with players trying to put out fires with an extinguisher 😒 If it were me I would have scrapped this fire mechanic early on for other efforts to improve the already broken gameplay.
So pizza delivery is coming soon... got it! Thanks.... 🤣😂🤣😂👍👍just kidding looks pretty amazing can't wait to gets this in or game! 👍👍thanks for the recap!! 👍👍
Endless feature creep. But if they finished the game they would have to sell it. It would have to stand on its own economic feet. The endless ship sales would end. Cant have that. The spice must flow!
next will be washing your clothes in the washing machine, changing the oil on your space craft, paying taxes, brushing teeth, exercise, painting, river rafting, sharpening pencils, changing the filter on your a/c unit, making butter, surfing, and bird watching.
@@LordOfFliesTedious, even more so for players who just wanna go go go! Therefore, in addition to that idea, I suggest adding an NPC maintenance crew that will fully refresh your ship every time you land, as if it were brand new! This may also promote owning multiple ships in the same niche to cover for when the other is being repaired.
Fun, but a bit ridiculous watching the fire race across metal bulkheads like that. Seems like it could have been modeled a bit more realistically. Like limit the areas that can ignite to components, cargo, carpets, furniture, wiring and conduits that you can see through grates, etc. And component fires would generally be the biggest concern. They need to be put out before the component is completely destroyed and causes damage to the component socket, requiring repair at a space port and possibly a tow.
Congrats on the land may it reward you endlessly. ->CiG making internal loops for ships that last less than 30 seconds in combat sounds less than valuable.
Looks like it is too easy to get a fire started, and too many things easily support combustion. Shooting a wall with bullets sets it on fire? A grenade (AP, not incendiary) sets it on fire? Not knocking the devs, but they are like kids with a new toy with this. Realistically, ships would have some automated fire responses like halon or something. I mean, here 900 or so years in the past we have sprinkler systems etc. Also an effort to construct them out of materials that don't support combustion easily would be the norm. I want there to be fire. Cargo gets on fire, components get on fire... heck yeah I can see that. I just don't want it to be overblown like it appears it will be.
I had such high hopes for this game when I initially bought in during the 2.7.3 Jesus patch days, but anymore its been built such that after you get off work and boot up the game you go right back into work checking 20 odd things before you can ever get to meaningful gameplay. Why would I want to work a second job? So disappointed and jaded at this point, games are meant to be fun, not take all our time just to prepare to do something. It feels like too many time wasters have been added. Seriously, fire? Hundreds of years in the future and they don't have a system in your ship that puts it out for you? You have to leave control of your ship to go back and manually put it out all while continuing to be blasted by who knows what. It's basically making it so that only large orgs of hardcore players all with their own role and specialized training can get anything done. Solo players or small orgs are shit out of luck and that's probably 70% or more of your fanbase gone, good luck keeping the game running after that when new players read all those negative reviews and take a hard pass on the game.
No new things. Make what you have already work properly. Then…only then…add these little features. Also, a single player can’t both fly the ship and put out fires. There is too much bias toward multicrew.
Pushing solo players outa large multicrew ships with large multicrew features was always going to happen. Until NPC crews arrive, these things will continue
