Nice car! My dad and I restored a 1976 LX SLR 5000, it's black and silver with Shammy interior. It's as original as we could get it and it's real SLR 5000. It took 9 years to restore from 2004 to 2013.

Good genuine bloke George seems like, I like to think im a good judge of character and have met all walks of life from criminally insane to the saints who go and work in soup kitchens of their own free accord...... Great interview this one and It struck a chord with why I love modifying my Dyna superglide and why I loved dumping 15 grand in my 180sx when i was in my early 20s. Life sure is swell.

Deft touch on this restomod Torana. Recaro seats, wheel/tire combo together with Valencia Orange make this classic sing. I would pass up a slew of Supercars to own a rig like this.

Really liking the paint on this. I think the whole car looks off its tits. Plenty of quality built weapons around earlwood too there's a great v8 scene in Sydney but most big publishers overlook these builds and go towards the fancy stuff with forum builds.. not that there's anything wrong with that I'm just saying, I'm glad I discovered this channel anyway, look forward to seeing more keep it up guys 🤙🏼

What's crazy is that this Holden looks exactly like a run-o'-the-mill Opel from the '70's, respectively early '80's. It's hard to reconcile that four cylinder, cheap car with this Australian muscle.

Nice car, reminds me of my 74 SLR5000 i had back in 79 which got written off in 81 by drunk driver , he T-Boned me. So I bought a 77 HZ 4.2 Sandman Panel Van and out the Running gear from the Torana into the Van. But, this car is a 6 cyl originally, so he should not call it an A9X or a SLR5000. The 5000 stands for the 5 ltr, not the Chevy 350 he has in it. Maybe put SLR5700 on the back. But I did like his brothers VK Commodore! Always like the Brock Commodores! Didn't like the big wheels at the back. I would have Tubbed it.

So technically it's not an SLR5000 it's a 5800 !! Lovely job you've done on that.

PS George: I own an orginal 1970 LC GTR Holden Torana, purchased way back in 1978.
