Love to see the GIV and ATW collaborate! Awesome guys and always awesome, funny, and very interesting videos. Great job guys! Hope to see more in the future.
Yes! The Woo and GiV!! Two awesome people. “A *viaduct is a long bridge-like structure carrying a road or railway across a valley or other low ground. **Bridges are built across rivers or arms of the sea, whereas viaducts tend to cross valleys and low lying areas where there may or may not be a river.”
Retired highway engineer here: viaducts are structures going over a low place whether valley or canyon or city streets, etc., can have a water feature. Bridges go over water. Technically they don’t need to have arches, but practically they nearly always do. This structure has lots of earthquake survival features (duh)!
Sidenote = As a lover of BTTF to the extreme, it totally choked me up when you went into the hallway quoting the "go easy on him" line. Just the perfect film. Such a cool location. Thanks Adam. Dig it.
Words can't describe how cool it is to see the history of movie filming locations, especially when you get so lucky and they are setting up to re-create the dance from Back to the Future!!!!
I was BTTF nerding out just watching this, I couldn't imagine what it's like to actually be there. Two of my favorite RU-vidrs, Holly Woo and GiV. ( Dynamic Duo ;-)
i would have had to stop by Olivia Newton-John's star to pay homage... And I just tracked it down, it's in front of the Hard Rock next to the Chinese Theatre. Just in case anyone was wondering...
Just missed you in Hollywood Adam. We stayed at the Roosevelt Sunday night after Duran Duran concert and passed thru the valet area several times. It’s s very cool old hotel for sure.
That is so cool to see the gym where they filmed Back to the Future! …such a classic movie! ..that’s really cool that they are doing a recreation of the dance in there too ..I want to go!
hello again Adam and hello German in Venice , very cool interesting video , so nice of them to let you walk around the BTTF location , well done and thank you guys 😊
Wow! For a long time I've thought it would be cool to rent that church gymnasium and recreate the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance. I guess someone's doing it!
What a fun video this was, Adam, you and Mike, where so much fun ,, he truly looks up to you ,, love to see more of these ,videos, thank thank you for all the hard work you put in these videos, so we can be a part of them ,,stay safe threw out your journeys,,
Adam, it's heart ❤️ warming to see you and Mike together. I really enjoy both of you guys videos. I learned so much from you and Mike. Thank you and keep up the good work.
This video makes me so happy! I've seen the Enchantment stage before but I gasped at the sight of the back stairs there! It's such a feel-good scene because everything wrong had just been fixed and Marty's parents were back on track and falling in love. (Did his parents eventually have that awkward conversation "Um Lorraine? is it just me or is our son starting to look EXACTLY like that guy that introduced us to each other back in high school? "...heheh ) I love that tidbit about the Hollywood Trader Joe's on Selma and Vine, that's already one of my favorite locations just because of all the funny movie poster paintings on the wall, but now I know there's actual filmmaking history in that location! Damn that's cool. Also, not sure how much traction it would have nowadays, maybe not so popular anymore, I get it, but it'd be amazing if you would maybe ? consider covering some old Hollywood filming locations from the silent area with Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton sometime, for you know, posterity and stuff haha👍
Love Mike aka GiV! My mom and I stayed at the Loew’s Hotel in 2019. It’s crazy how much the area has changed in such a short amount of time! Can’t wait to go again! ☺️
Fun video.Love hanging in L.A….lived in Hollywood for a year in 1969 and still drawn there.Retired to Vegas and now have the urge to head out there a couple of days reminisce about my old stomping grounds.
Omg, what a jam packed video! So many cool stops today! When I clicked on the video, i had no idea I'd see one of the Madonna Borderline locations!! That was a treat!! Thanks for sharing!
If I had stupid amounts of money I would build the Ghostbusters firehouse HQ on my property. It's really one of my favorite film locations and to be able to decorate it and fill it with all sorts of props and Easter eggs would be a dream come true. One of my favorite parts about the Ghostbusters video game was being able to explore the firehouse in between levels.
Loved the part showing Back to the Future’s dance 💃 scene in the gymnasium! And your quoted lines from the film were enjoyable, as we saw the wall photos with present day footage of this stage, staircase, etc. GREAT!
Yeah that gymnasium is definitely like my Graceland. You should definitely go back in November to The enchantment under the sea dance. Great collaboration!
Congrats on getting backstage! I've always wanted to check out the UTSD stage and what's behind it. That's so cool that they embrace the film and are recreating the dance.
That was interesting especially seeing the new 6th street bridge and the LA River where one of favorite cult movies Repo Man was filmed. That area changed pretty much except the old brick warehouse type buildings. Nice to hear you mention Repo Man where Emilio Estevez and Harry Dean Stanton were driving and running around. Nice video !
Love to see the GIV and ATW collaborate! GIV is such a nice, humble, and down to earth guy… and his videos are so interesting, fun, and relatable. It’s so cool that you have inspired him and so many others to make great content. He really admires you and that’s really cool. Awesome guys and always awesome, funny, and very interesting videos. Great job guys! Hope to see more in the future.
We've been to many movie locations just for fun. Enchantment Under the Sea, Hotel Lorane, and interior of the firehouse were on our list, but you covered it so well - we may not have to go in person 😉Who am I kidding - we're going!
Loved this video, thanks so much. Coming over from Scotland to the west coast in February for 11 nights. Staying 4 nights in LA, couple of days at Disney and 1 day VIP at Universal thanks to your recommendation...glad your showing all the little things I'd miss, the 1 place I've visiting coming back from Universal(our base in Anaheim) will be the Hard Rock, right where you ended up filming this...awesome 🇺🇸
Viaduct = "A long bridge like structure, typically a series of arches, carrying a road or railroad across a valley or other low ground". Another great video Adam. Love all the info you share with us.😄😄
Hey Adam NorCal Guy here that big piece of green equipment was a 10K telehandler the equipment was a Sunbelt rentals…that’s the company I work for, they are also in Fla. I can always tell you the type of the equipment if your curious
Adam, you're able to go into the "Beat It" dancing scene warehouse. It's now a t-shirt store. As Jordan The Lion documented, the owner of the shop will let you come in and vlog about it. The place has walls now and so it doesn't fully look the same as it did in 1982, but it's still pretty cool to see in person as it does have a few things inside you'll recognize from the music video
Adam one of these days you gotta go see the SS Dominator ship wreck again.the wreck is in LA not too far from the Queen Mary! Also one of these days you gotta come to Phelan California I got some really cool historic places around town I would love to show you!I am 22 and love history and also have been watching your and Justin Scarred's videos since I was 14 back in 2014.😀You always make my day my friend !😁
There hasn’t been anyone as jealous of someone in the history of history than I am of you right at this moment while watching this video seeing you in that church and on the stage where BTTF was filmed. I do need to join you Mr Woo the Adam on your majestic adventures.
