Marco is a really genuine, down to earth super nice guy to meet. There's nothing pretentious about him. His warmth and friendliness really shine through when you are there. His restaurant and veggie garden are in a spectacular spot overlooking the bay while clinging to the mountain side very close to the Italian border. He is so passionate about freshness and what his garden and local providers have to offer. I can't wait to go back!!

Undeserving of the title. This year's award ceremony was a political stunt featuring lots of self-satisfied back patting and grandstanding. There are lots of better restaurants that deserve the title.
