The effect looks like a Plasma Effect. To create a similar effect should be possible. You can make the LED Matrix with Pixel strips for example WS2815. In front of it you can place milky acrylic glass with some distance to the LEDs. The effect can be created with xLights.

@@yotudero thank you! It would look amazing! What pixels matrix grid should be used? The scale of wall is 2.9 metres wide and 2.3 meters height.

@@TheArchitect101 The grid size could be quite large because the Matrix does not need to display a picture. I would experiment with the grid size and the distance of the milky acrylic glass. I think a good starting point is a grid size of around 10cm.
