David is lucky I wasn't around because at age 31 I am a public figure within several movements of Christianity. I am still held in high regard with my former church. We split but in a respectful way unlike what is not possible for Scientologists. I still have friends and acquaintances within the leadership of my former church. At the time of leaving I was on an upward trajectory which by now I could have been potentially the youngest bishop in my former church.

False. They are not trying to be a religion, they have no beliefs to offer except the fact that people need help and they can’t make it on their own. Religions might have their flaws but all the main ones operate with giving tools to help their believers, these people just want to take as much money and compliance as they can and keep their minions dependent. I’m 60 and when I was 15 my parents ordered the RL Hubbard book of Scientology. Wished I still had that book. I read the first few pages and thought then at 15, that this is nuts! I put it down and never picked it back up. At the same age I read In Cold blood and as bad as that book was I thought the Scientology book was worse.

It works for me, my life has improved as a result of it. My IQ, and vocabulary have increased. Inter-personal relations are no longer mysterious(as in why did he or she do that?). Maybe that's just me, and I'm the only one that has improved. It requires an investment or one's time. Good luck.
