Pretty sure Treliving doesn't need to ask around. MM is one of the very best wingers in the league. I look forward to him playing somewhere else. For several reasons, it's better for everyone if he signs somewhere else.

So I was wondering and I'm not saying it SHOULD happen but, is Nylander not still on his old deal with a M-NTC? Wouldn't there be. a window before July 1 to look at a trade. I know Nylader is newly signed and I get that Marner is more likely to go, But if Marner is intent to walk to free agency by refusing to waive his NMC then wouldn't looking a tNylander deal make more sense? Its not an opinion just curious .

It makes more sense to trade him around Feb/March. You need to qualify for a playoff and Marner is good for the regular season.

Mitch’s relationship with Dubas is likely the governing influence in Marner’s next contract. It makes perfect sense if Mitch plays out his existing Leaf Contract (just like JT did in NYI) - then Mitch graciously moves over to Pittsburgh and signs a massive deal with Penguins. 😀

right now and for years the team cannot beat the top teams in their Atlantic division come playoff time. Until they can reach that goal they will never make it past the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs. Huge changes are needed . Marner is a start

I’ll believe Marner is traded when I see it.He has a full NMC,plus at 10.5 a season,that’s a big ticket to move.

Used to love Marner cannot stand him now. He's a liability in the playoffs....the leafs over paid him for how.many years now..,?????? And.the lil prick won't allow this team. That over paid him to move him for his last year which he can still become and UFA and the end of the year....can u say prick move. Hope they sit him for the year play a younger bigger player....
