I feel you but at the same time it’s only been the last 25-35 games. Compared to the horrible D the previous 45-50ish games before. It’s still a bit hard to fully trust. But I definitely am more confident….. they just need to get a body on okc now and stop giving up so many freaking offensive rebounds.

I really hope they keep that flawed line of thinking, luka and kyrie will keep kicking it out and since they get far more rebounds the math literally just favors the mavs. We saw even when okc shot better percentages they still lost comfortably. Its a great game plan that can really win them a chip this year.

SGA is a crafty guard. If you’re a hooper and want to play in the league, getting to the line should be in your bag. He is getting fouled. The refs might make silly calls sometimes but he’s definitely getting fouled. If he was so easy to guard, he wouldn’t pull in half the defense when he goes for a layup. And usually there’s one or two jumping in the air to contest which increases the chance of him being fouled.
People dont bring up how shaq said his biggest motivation when playing was whatever espn or other people had something bad too say about him, he just giving jokic and luka the same motivation in his own way
I can assure you one thing, People who watched this game closely realized the refs were letting OKC get away with Murder and yet they still could not win. I expect the refs to mind their Ps and Qs in this one. OKC could be blown out.

Luka has been the worst floper in the playoffs (besides Joel) Luke complains every possession, he flails every time a defender gets close, he intentionally jumps into defenders then falls just trying to get a call!!! He is the biggest baby in the playoffs by far!!! I used to like Luka and respect his game, after watching him in this series he has quickly dropped to be one of the hardest players to watch due to how much he flops like a little cry baby
@@sora_2342 yes, I have watched both and realised SGA gets the softest whistle... luka's whining is annoying af but at least he gets hammered and sells contact, but SGA gets touch fouls and throws his head back and gets the foul calls, game one he got 11 fts in the first half. SGA for very long stretches doesn't even look to play make for his teammates only looks to score.

I personally think the Mavs as a team + coaches have made Gafford and PJ better. It confuses me to no end when they take away what LuKai does for their team, I mean, Luka is always disrespected and rarely ever gets the credit he deserves by these people. It's a tough series, I hope the Mavs can end it in 5 so they get the much-needed rest, but I think every game is going to be hard fought, and it may be more likely with 6-7 games.
PJ really elevated his game through years. He’s using his left hand more to finish at the rim just as much as his right. He is patient with his defense and tries to avoid being shaky. He is getting the feeling of the playoffs and finally realize that there is no panic, to just WIN and think ahead of the other team. He deserves his points because he knows OKC’s weakness which is leaving the corner 3 open and that they are much smaller than him.
I've said this before time and time again but the biggest X factor for the Mavs to reach the Finals this season is PJ Washington because he is the 3rd scorer on this team behind Luka and Kyrie. Also the reason why the Mavs are playing good in these playoffs is their defense and rebounding. Of course we know that they can score the basketball with the best of them but their calling card is their defense and rebounding. When you face the Mavericks, they are a bigger, stronger, and physical team.

If OKC loses Game 4, the series is pretty much over. Kyrie is 13-0 in close out games. And even if this streak ends, he won't lose 3 games in a row, when given the opportunity to close out the series..

The Thunder are doing a good job of making it difficult for Kyrie and Luka. They’re literally double and triple teaming them once they cross half court for a lot of the game. Thunder will have to decide if they want to ease up on Kyrie and Luka.
