Neither of them really helps the other. They both have hella gravity but it usually benefits the bigs and the role players. They rarely set each other up.

The other day on another video someone said Jayson Tatum was close to being a top 10 player. I remember thinking that it was actualy closer to top 5 than top 10. Everyone points out his scoring, but this game was a perfect example of how good of a defender, playmaker and passer he is. Hes becoming more and more of a all-around player and thats what make the top 5 players so good.

I haven’t seen them - I live in Hawaii so the timing isn’t good - so I’ll take your word for it. That’s surprising to hear considering their coach is Steve Nash, one of the best playmakers in the game in his day, and an assistant coach for Steve Kerr.

Nets have been one dimensional and if they don’t get it together this series is over and I’ll say, people will need to hold him to those standards of never making the finals yet. Bro. I was saying this when Durant came to the Warriors in 2017. The reason why Durant did well in Golden State was because of the system Kerr had in place. But he also was an issue because of his over-reliance on iso-ball. It slowed the entire Warriors system down sometimes because that’s what Durant does….he’s a great ISO player. Michael Jordan proved that you can be an elite scorer and NOT win championships. It was only when Jordan started to rely more on his teammates did he makes the Finals.

To add, GSW still forcing system, i.e. shoot attemps when players come off screens or catch-shoot after round of passings, etc. Nets can not (over night) change iso-ball game plan, and that will be testament that great players (e.g. KD and MJ) still NEED coaching and some game plan other then "give me the ball I'll kill em". After all it's team sport.

Last season we weren’t this iso heavy, heck pretty sure we amongst leaders in assist. This season the roster has so many changes so it’s hard to implement a system offensive or establish something. That’s why you’re seeing heavy isos with KD and Kyrie.

KD is great when you need one bucket to bring it home, but you cant rely on an ISO heavy offense to win a title. I expect the Nets to adjust. If the Celtics play like this Durant and Kyrie should have each 10 assist, but they keep dribbling around.

KD been to one finals and conference final, but he was never the leader of the team and can't get a team to the finals by himself. I think they’ve shown the Nets no lead is safe so there’s a seed of doubt planted for future games.

That's the disadvantage of wanting to play iso ball more often than not. When he was playing with the GSW he was unstoppable because he mostly played off ball for a bigger chunk of time. Oh well hopefully he has no regrets winning nothing in Brooklyn, while being the number 1 option out there.

@@jaggedarts33 he did bulk up from the years in OKC; the problem is not being tossed around but his style of play against this defense. When you play against a good defensive team you can slow down the pace, you have to speed it up because if they get set it is hard to break their defensive scheme. The Nets have iso players that will hurt you one on one but when they are overwhelmed by guys flying left and right to contest their shots it becomes hard to score.

As far as the East is concerned, it is a tossup because they are all evenly distributed in terms of strength. Miami is make quick work of Atlanta because the latter is not physical as Miami, but for the remainder of the playoffs I see Miami being challenged by the other teams.

Yeah, knowing that KD was getting doubled or tripled, he should've looked for passes, they even mentioned it in this coverage how Patty was getting free, you saw him get left alone while they chased KD. He only took 4 shots for the game, similar for Seth. Don't build your support around good 3 shooters and then never give them the ball when they're wide open for catch and shoot. KD and Kyrie get in these weird mindsets where they know they're good enough most nights to score no matter the defense, so they ignore the open man, that may work during the regular season, but against the best defenses in playoff mode you can't do it for a whole series, especially not down 2 in the series, trust your team mates to either shoot or get defenders away from you before you shoot.
