Do they test how well the vacuum seals and contains the dust and fine particles? I have had issues with vacuums that do a great job cleaning, but then they have small (invisible) leaks that spray dust everywhere in the air. This is even a problem with HEPA filter vacuums. This is a big issue with someone that has a bad dust allergy.

Informative and entertaining! But how about testing vacs other than mainly Kenmore and Shark? I see very few Riccars, Sebos, Mieles, or other vacshop vacuums on CU's testing (one Miele (the U1) has been discontinued for some time.

Consumer reports You should test does vacuum that claim that clean clean carpets better and use water. Like the rainbow vacuum or the quantum vacuum that claim that is better than a bagless or bag vacuum

The deep clean test has a lot of flaws. It sticks to the wheels deck and a little may get blown around.. Maybe not blown around but if the exhaust port is point if down like a robo then it may blow it.
