Thank you for the time you take to walk and create these videos. It’s quite something to view many parts of the city that I have known but never really visited. Thank you for encouraging me to go and discover the city and it’s interesting past.
Hello HR Kennedy, thank you for your feedback 🙂 I had the feeling you were from the US. I did have a look at your playlist sometime ago... Do you have any connection to Bham?
@@citiesthroughmyeyes No connection. A friend suggested your channel, and i became a fan. Stay with your passion, when you do it shows in your content. Stay safe and keep filming
@@citiesthroughmyeyes No, my parents moved away from the area before I was born. My Grandpatents lived in Lawrence Street until early sixties when they died. Lawrence Street is to the left hand side of the baths. Apparently the baths had a very high diving board.
Hi joseline, Oh you already know about those baths in Grove Lane, I remember them from my childhood. ❤️ nice to know you are still making films of Birmingham. ❤️
Nice informative video - the baths look very well cared for, having had a lucky escape. Interesting aside about the communal laundry - certainly more efficient than everyone washing by hand. Btw the title 'Sir' goes with the first name, not the surname so Sir Doug Ellis would be 'Sir Doug' not 'Sir Ellis.'
Hello Chris! 🙂 The story of these baths is very interesting. You taught me something today, 'Sir + first name' and I'll keep that in mind 😉. I hope you're doing good.
Hi Joseline! Did you stop doing street walks in different areas or do you film this as a change? Me personally I liked the street walks and think there are so many more areas to explore. Or what is your plan?
Hello Abu Ismail 99, no I haven't stopped. I attended a lot of Bham Heritage week events in early September so that's why you see all these videos... I wanted to film Manchester last Saturday since I was there. Unfortunately it was raining like crazy. I am currently working on some Bham Suburbs past & present too so I am a bit all over the place right now... But I will definitely make some new walking tours this week if the weather is compliant.
