Thanks for the insights. Looking into getting this because I am sick and tired of every my GoPro's having some software related issue every generation and all they do to fix it is 'just buy the new one'.
Really good review. Im interested in this camera or the base version, but most non paid reviews has been steering me away. (There was one actual paid review that came to the same conclusion as you and that is stick with gopro) Not to say the Ace line doesnt have potential, I am more interested in The Ace than the DJI Action 4. Im really hoping Insta 360 improves upon the camera with a Gen 2.
My audio setup changes with each ride/bike/helmet Often its cardo, Bluetooth to the camera, but as i run multiple cameras often at the same time, sometimes the voice is picked up on a second camera, and if not synced perfectly there is an echo. Its a work in progress.
@@MotoNZ Yeah, I turn the audio off on my 2nd camera to avoid the issue, downside is there is no engine noise to fill in the spaces when I am not talking, so music in post.....
@@DustyVisorMotorcycles Camlink ? I livestream from my motobike with the Gopro trough the App to my Pc at home via RTMP ... We live in 2024 ... If the cam cannot connect or transmit Data trough an App Its Worthless ... Useless for my purpose! and defently not a Goprokiller .
With respect, what you have described is only one narrow use case. If you compare the Ace Pro to the Hero 12, the Ace Pro wins in many other areas. Bigger sensor, better lens, better battery life etc. Personally i prefer the Ace Pro's image. but i still use a couple of Hero 12's also. Very interested in the use case you have described however. I'm intrigued by the prospect of streaming everything back to your pc at home, are you recording the footage there? What do you use it for? For the record, the Insta360 cameras have a built-in server that will encode and package the streaming feed using common protocols like RTMP, RTSP and HLS.
@@MotoNZ Stream to YT thru OBS on your computer, or you might be able to stream thru an app on your phone like Streamlabs..... need heaps of Bandwidth tho...
Surprised you don’t have any issues with your GoPro - you must be one of the rare few! I’ve had every GoPro from 7 through to 10 and each new release became more and more unreliable so I stopped at the insanely unreliable GoPro 10 👎
@@Cameraflyer- My 11 has frozen more than once, overheats unless I'm riding. doesn't seem to matter what card goes in it when it freezes....annoying, plus no built in mic jack....
