It's the Doona that has the handle with an anti-rebound position. The DualRide has an anti-rebound bar built into the base.

It comes in the box. It attaches to the base to keep the Evenflo's wheels from touching the vehicle seat

Is it possible to install just the carrier without the stroller wheels onto the car base? I was hoping to keep the dirty wheels out of my backseat and away from baby because I live in the mountains where it’s snowy and wet in the winter Also, are you saying the only way to get the carrier to clip back into the stroller is to first have the stroller wheels attached to the car base? You can’t simply install the carrier into the stroller without the car base? Thank you for your helpful video and info!

It's not possible. The wheels can only come off into the base and cannot be removed from it unless they are attached to the infant seat. They cannot be a completely separate piece.

does it come with the cup holder and storage bag? where would i order it if it does? and it is less than 29 lbs without the wheels attached?

Some versions do. The gold version on Evenflo's website comes with both of those. Without the wheels attached, it's around 11#.

Hello! Thank goodness I found your vidwo. Were expecting and I am considering this stroller/car seat combo. My only question is, will base/wheel portion, take a stroller or carrier for when the baby is over 40 lbs and growing?? Not sure if my question makes sense

No, you will need a stroller once this seat is outgrown. But at that point, the baby will be old enough to use a cheap umbrella stroller if preferred.

Are you able to use the dual ride carrier with other strollers? With or without the wheels on? Like the Mockingbird with an attachment? Also how heavy if the dual ride without the wheels just the car seat?

There are no adapters for this seat. It works on the Evenflo Shyft stroller with the wheels removed. It possibly works with strollers that have universal adapters like Mountain Buggy Nano. It's 11 pounds w/o the wheels.

Hi - just installed my Evenflo Dual Ride car seat. The base is very secure (moves less than an inch). However, I'm noticing that when the car seat is empty, the seat itself is quite wobby/rattly/noisy when driving. Is this normal?

My car seat seems to have a hard time detaching from the wheelbase when it is attached to the base. Im not sure if it’s something Im doing wrong? I can hear it click like it’s detaching and it’s able to move around but it won’t fully detach from the base.

It has to be attached to the base in order to remove the wheels. The manual shows how to do it

The handle has 3 positions: near the child's feet, middle, and near the child's head.

Just do a baseless installation in the other vehicle. The wheels can stay attached to the infant seat, but you have to move 2 of them to do a baseless installation. The manual describes how to do it

The crash test results are not released by manufacturers. Anything else you find would be done by 3rd parties who may not test the seats the same way the manufacturers do.

It has to have at least 1.5" between it and the front seat if installed on one of the side seats. If in the middle, the seat does not have that rule

Question! Someone told me that there needs to be a certain amount a space between the car seat when it’s installed and the back of the passenger seat. At least a 1.5inch gap between the car seat and the back of the front seat. Is this true? My husband will be installing this seat this week! Thank you!

For Evenflo's infant seats, this is true if you are installing the car seat behind a vehicle seat. If you are installing it in the middle seat, the gap is not required. The harness webbing is 1.5" wide on the seat, so you can measure that with your fingers and then check if you have the proper gap.

Can I see this installed in a smaller car? And have the passenger seat adjusted for a human to actually sit in the seat lol I’ve heard it’s a bit bulky I would hate for it not to fit safely with someone in the front seat.

Nope. The only way the wheels can be taken off is by leaving the wheels in the base. There is no way to leave the wheels anywhere other than attached to the base or attached to the car seat.

A little bit, yes. The DualRide requires that you move the front wheels to a different configuration before installation, so it takes a few seconds longer.

1. What about flame retardant materials and chemicals is this evenflo dual ride green guard safe ? Also can it be placed forward and rear facing when needed for car stops and changing diapers..obviously while riding it has to be rear facing.

There aren't currently any green guard certified fabric options for this seat. Just like any infant seat, you can temporarily lay it on the ground facing whichever direction you wish.

I’ve heard that babies should not be in car seats longer than necessary, especially when sleeping. How does that rule apply to this seat? Is it safe for longer periods of time?

It's the same for all car seats, including this one. A safe sleep space is a flat surface. Keep time in the car seat to a minimum

When it's in the base, squeeze the upper release handle that's on the back of the infant seat. This will give you just the carrier and leave the wheels in the base
